It's not as easy rounding up petrol pumps to £1.01 any more, a tiny squeeze of the trigger and it jumps up by a couple of quid2

How is round up setting chosen post account set up please?polymaff said:Knockout iinterest rate - but you'll knock yourself out with all those £1.01 debit card spends...

You just enable it and that is it, there is no 'level' to pick. Anything gets rounded up to the nearest pound and it sits in a seperate round up pot.veryintrigued said:

It's a complete gimmick, to catch people with a huge interest rate. In reality, it's incredibly difficult to make any real money from it.polymaff said:Knockout iinterest rate - but you'll knock yourself out with all those £1.01 debit card spends...
For example, if you did manage to get £10 round-ups on every 1st of a month, and then did no further round-ups, you'd make £3 in a year.
If you forced yourself to make huge numbers of £1.01 payments, don't be surprised if one or another of your accounts gets closed. You might even end up with a CIFAS marker for abuse of facility.1 -
Opened chase account last night, did not go through until 11.00 am today.
Sent my first transfer and was received in 30 seconds.
Opening the savings account.
I then sent a large transfer which arrived in 2 minutes.
Sent another payment to make a payment on debit card to try it out.
That got a security check from sending bank, 5 hours to sort out. Agh.
Setting up debit card for Google pay was so easy it did it it’s self, just a couple of ok boxes.0 -

You don't do it via the current account - if you click 'add' one of the options should be a round up account (don't think I changed the name). Guess it automatically links as you can only have one c/averyintrigued said:So you can't do it on an existing account post initial set up..0
