Just tried another one and this time was instant.typistretired said:I have - went in within a minute and I set up my payee and sent a payment and arrived under a minute0 -
My second payment in is delayed could be my main bank account doing a check"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

But only available to people with a Chase Current Account, so a hard credit search for anyone who is not already a Chase Current Account holder.Daliah said:Chase UK 1.5% AER. Proper instant access account. Not for those without smartphone or tablet as it is digital only. Thanks to @andyhicks88 for the heads up.
ETA - other users are reporting that Chase do not do a hard search0 -

Sorry, don't think they have a log off function. I just close the app when done, and it then requires log in again if you launch the app again.typistretired said:Daliah does leave Chase mean log out can’t find a log out button. Thanks for bringing to our notice1 -
No hard search done by Chase. They don't offer overdrafts, so have no reason for doing one.Nick_C said:

The same has just happened with me - transferring out of Virgin.typistretired said:My second payment in is delayed could be my main bank account doing a check1 -
Transferred some funds about an hour ago, no sign yet.0

Have chatted with both ends and both banks say it could take up to 2 hours if checks are being made"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Unfortunately, banks are now increasing the checks they do on larger transfers, as they have to invariably refund people who [say they] got scammed. I have been on the phone to Santander for 1 hour 3 minutes, mostly listening to music, to get my payments released. Santander is my hub account, so most of my shifting of savings must go via Santander. Amazingly, I had no problem getting £10K out of Virgin this morning, but that went to a payee I have used regularly before.cymruchris said:
