I have a Virgin Regular Saver already but want to open their M Plus Current Account.

In the application process for the M Plus, there's an option of  'I have other products with Clydesdale or Yorkshire Bank'

Do I select that given that I have a Regular Saver? There's no option for 'I have a Savings account with Virgin Money'
  • Revised HSBC UK savings accounts interest rates (applicable from 1st March 2022) apart from their Regular Saver which stays the same:

Savings Account Interest Rates | Savings Rates - HSBC UK
Not so, Regular Saver rate has been increased by 0.09% and is showing when logged in.

    Thanks for the update.

I took the information from the HSBC interest rates page, which showed the rate was unchanged from 24th November 2020.
Also, the HSBC PDF brochure lists the rate as 1.00% from 1st March 2022.
The slightly higher rate must be for existing Regular Saver customers?

If you don't have any accounts with Clydesdale or Yorkshire Bank, then you won't select that option.

The question might be intending to draw your attention to the £85k FSCS protection which would be shared between any accounts you hold with the 3 companies.

Just noticed that the Yorkshire BS's 'Internet Saver Plus Issue 10' easy access account is now paying...

    0.60% on £1+
    0.77% on £10k+
    0.82% on £50k+

Online account management, £1 minimum balance, annual interest and unlimited withdrawals. Note that you can't make withdrawals within the first 14 days, so open with £1 and don't make further deposits if that could be an issue.

I thought we'd see more movement in response to the Virgin account. Maybe next week?

In less than 24h I have 1k in the M+ account and 25k in the linked savings account.

    Pretty painless so far.

Would you not fancy putting that in YBS at 0.82% ?

Or, depending on tax status you could get those identical rates by putting it into an easy access cash ISA
