For info Shawbrook now released issue 29 of their easy access saver paying 0.72% versus 0.67% for previous issue….for existing customers you don’t need to open a new account you can just secure message them asking to change account to issue 29.
Thanks for the info was wondering how to get the new issue.  Do they normally reply to the secure message fairly quickly.
Yep normally within 1-2 working days. I messaged them over the weekend and had a response earlier today.
Messaged them yesterday they replied today, new rate all sorted now, good service. Thanks for the advice

The good thing about getting Shawbrook customer services to move money to issue 29 is you keep same account number

  • I picked up an update today to the Android version of the Marcus app.  No info given on what the update includes, but one thing I see now that I was not previously aware of is the option to renew the bonus rate. I think that could only be done via online banking before.
  • Yup. Just renewed it again (for what it's worth), this time via app.

Previously, had to log into online banking, as you said.
  • Not bothering updating bonus until they increase it. Experts expect BOE interest rate to go up to 1.25% this year.

It was possible to do in the app, it just wasn't the easiest thing to find requiring tapping through a couple of menus to get there.
  • I've been doing it in the app for months. However it is now irrelevant to me as I have reduced my Marcus balance to £1 because of better rates elsewhere.

Not sure where I stand on this because I still have FOUR of those savings accounts still open, despite CASS three of the linked current accounts.

If I do use one, I will obviously use the one that is definitely linked. However, if I was to use the other three, what rate would they attract, I wonder?

Not bothered enough to ask as tbh, I won't be putting any savings there as can't stand the app. (I know. Nose, face, but it's pennies!!)
