    I opened mine on the 15th, haven't received anything yet but hopefully not long to wait. I sent the money across though, with crossed fingers.

    Don't forget we have just had Easter so the banks are going to be slower than normal getting back to you.

    Thanks for the info on Lloyds Vantage. No sign of a letter yet, but it looks as though the requirement to have two Direct Debits per account actually paying monthly puts an end to our 6 Classic with Vantage accounts - not that many DDs being active every month ;-{{

    The dds are one thing. The dramatic drop in rates is the worse thing. Also I am still wondering about what it said about the Plus account.

    Is 1.5% too bad for instant access at present. Disappointing, but that's life. Thnk about it though, how many of your DDs actually pay monthly. They've copied that idea from the Halifax and it is a real show stopper

    it is very simply what it said in the letter you got from Lloyds Bank: the Lloyds Plus account will exist no more.

    This has absolutely nothing to do with the TSB Plus account.

    They are two separate banks, even if they are still presently owned by the same group.

    It isn't a showstopper at all since it is easy to get any number of monthly paying DDs. But doing them on accounts that pay 1.5% is a ridiculous game that I won't be playing since there are better alternatives.

    Is Lloyds Plus an old predecessor of Vantage? I was speaking to TSB CS a while back and they said their new Plus account was just a resurrected old product they introduced to allow them to offer customers something new to tide them over until the IPO. I could have gotten the wrong end of the stick, just my tuppence worth

    Me neither - but I'm open to suggestions as to DDs guaranteed to pay out each month. Council Tax is only ten times a year. BT with Line Saver Rental and 18185 doesn't bill every month. etc. etc.

    Ah right, maybe it was an old product. I hadn't heard of such a named account from Lloyds.
