No, not quite.. I think you can set up up to 3 Direct Debits from each Tesco account.... but Tesco only let you set up a 'linked account' (what they call a DD) once to each current account... So even if you got a Tesco account to pull money twice a month from Santander, that would only count as one DD as far as Santander are concerned.
What you can do however is to set up 2 Tesco accounts, then set up a DD from each back to your Santander account. As the Tesco account numbers are different, Santanter will recognise that as 2x DDs which should keep them happy.
That's what I'm doing with a BoS Vantage account anyway, at the moment I'm just trying to persuade Tesco to merge my 2x accounts under one Internet banking logon (at the moment it thinks I'm two people)!0 -

I have 2 tesco Internet Saver accounts and you can set up as many linked accounts as you want. So each tesco account is linked to all my Santander acccounts. As part of the linking process you can set up the direct debits to pull money into the Tesco accounts.
This fulfuils the 2 DDs requirement. You still need to transfer in £500 monthly from an exteranl account.
I just got refused my 6th account.0 -
If you don't go through the cashback route you will only get 2.82% gross monthly on your savings when you take into account their monthly charge."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Has anyone ever got cashback on more than one 123 account? I already have a joint account, but wondered if I would be classed as a new customer if I opened one in my name0

"Santander has shaken off the unwanted tag of being the worst bank for customer service, replaced by Bank of Scotland and Halifax. What's more, Santander's 123 current account in isolation now ranks as one of the best, in a poll of 9,500 MoneySavingExpert.com users."
This is the first time since we began running these polls in August 2010 that the Spanish giant has been off the foot of the table, though it is still fourth worst overall".0 -

We have 2 joint accounts and get cashback, interest etc on both. Just had to do a bit of juggling to make sure at least £500 paid in each month and moved couple of DDs from one account to the other0 -
soulsaver, please show us one bad report about the 123 on this forum. Or any other forum.
The only "complaint" I can remember was from someone who hadn't known that they can simply upgrade from their existing Santander current account, thus retaining their account number and not having to move any DDs and SOs. He blamed Santander for not telling him - but ignored it was clearly stated on the website that you could upgrade.
Also, do you have a 123 yourself, can you actually speak from personal experience?0 -
To be fair Santander are average when it comes to Customer Service - I think this comes from the fact that they were a Building Society and are now a Bank
I prefer the way Lloyds do business at the moment - yes they make mistakes - but they suggest £20-35 compensation before I have even ask0
