They don't have an online non-ISA EA account that lets you keep a £1 balance but they have an E-ISA with a £1 minimum balance which could fit the bill when the new ISA rules come into play next month.ircE said:Looking to close my Leeds BS 5.1% account as I don't need it any more and leaving £1 in another account just to keep something open/maintain membership... is it right that they don't have an online EA account like this? Closest thing I can find is a £100 min account that pays 2.45%
Alternatively if you're just looking to retain membership, there is the Access Saver (£1 min) that can be opened by post. I've found Leeds are happy to send out application packs with a prepaid envelope if requested.
The other option could be to open the Regular Saver at 5.25%, it's £100 min but pays a better rate.
Also of note is that for branch/post accounts Leeds will let you manage the account by phone, including withdrawals/closure by faster payment if needed.5 -

Thanks - just did a search and turns out there's a branch in the middle of London near(ish) my workplace so I'll pop over and go down the Access Saver route.
I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to. If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.1 -
Leeds BS. After about 10 years break I've decided to restart my membership and opened RS for this purpose yesterday. Am I correct thinking that all I need to do is to make initial deposit of £100 and that will keep the account alive (i.e. no further deposits required)?Bridlington1 said:

If Charter and YBS are planning to reduce their EA rates (5.13% and 5.1% respectively) I would be grateful if they could announce it today before becoming recipients of my Shawbrook funds (5.11% to 5.0% tomorrow).0
