    Nothing lost, potentially something gained.
  • As everyone is jumping on this, I've gone and opened it, in spite my earlier post. I still doubt it'll be receiving any meaningful deposits. Happy to be proved wrong though.

Ditto, simply because a lot of the decent EA accounts I have open atm have a 'maturity' (cahoot, Santander, etc) along with Hanley which is closed to additional deposits (though this may change if they have outflows)

    Skipton BS Tracker Account Issue 5 - 5.06% (£1 - £1,000,000) - Monthly or Annual interest

Thanks, but having rushed to open similar type accounts as they appeared over the last few months, only for them to abandoned within days, I think I shall pass on this occasion.

But then I do have Barclays Rainy Day at 5.12%, Santander at 5.20%, Beehive at 5.20% and Gatehouse at 5.23% at the moment, and personally do not foresee any upward movement in rates in the near future (could be wrong of course!)

I've not been following as much lately, which Gatehouse account is @ 5.23 please?

https://gatehousebank.com/personal/savings/easy-access - under review, so currently not available. I've opened it on 9th June when they offered the top rate, didn't stay top for long so I reduced my balance to £1, on 3rd November they've increased the rate to 5.11% EPR (5.23% AER).
