Existing savings - of course I've just closed the EA as it was minimum £500 and transferred the ISA to Coventry!MeteredOut said:

Would it work to open two savings accounts with Chorley - a less attractive one first, and then the 5.3% Loyalty Easy Access Saver?0 -
It worked for me with a different BS, so for £1 it's worth a try.SaveTheEuro said:mebu60 said:

Excellent suggestion, quite possibly. Was a bit underwhelmed with Chorley tbh. If you miss the withdrawal cut-off time in the afternoon it's two working days before you get your funds.SaveTheEuro said:mebu60 said:

Annoyingly too, because I've got bonds and the FHS with Coventry plus now the ISA, I can't put much into their 5.2% EA either.
Thankfully there's several 5.1%s now as well as Santander's 5.2% EA.0 -
The Chorley EA I binned off was £500 min. Otherwise it would have been sitting there with £1. Don't know about their other accounts.chris_the_bee said:

We can refuse to open an account without being obliged to give a reason.0 -

Though if you are an existing customer and live outside the stated geographic area, Chorley's online application form will through a wobbly..MeteredOut said:

Cynergy normally do this on a Friday, so good for them, although it does make it 25 closed accounts now!Bridlington1 said:

I've given up on Cynergy, I closed my account with them a couple of weeks ago. I just couldn't bring myself to live with their wacky process every time they released another issue. It's been no great loss as there are plenty of other accounts now that can replace them.1
