Yes I tried the existing payee option but it only showed my external account.
So does mine, but when I scroll down all my other accounts in the list become visible

Thanks for the help it was there below! I didn't realise I could scroll further. I have closed the account and transferred to triple access
  • Crikey that was quick and easy - 2 x Cov accounts killed off (Limited 6 Access & Four Access) and funding moved into the new Triple access, all super quick to do.

Very impressed with Coventry lately. Even when they fall behind a bit, it doesn't take them too long to come back to the top of the leader board - and now topping both the savings account and ISA easy access charts. Of course none of these are unlimited access - but if you are happy with a limited access account, they seem to be reliably very competitive.

I'm still keeping my Coventry Four Access accounts (2x issues) open with 1p. 🤷‍♂️

Might be worthwhile at some point in the future (not just in terms of interest, but for the amount of permitted withdrawals), and for 1 pence why not?
  • All the concern that Tandem moved too aggressively to 5% was clearly misplaced!
Time to move my Tandem funds!

This is why I don't go too mad rushing my money around. Prior to today I only had 1 EA acc at over 5% but even if you do the calc on the full 85k FSCS limit with each institution it was less than a pound a day your losing on something like .4% Don't get me wrong a pound a day is a lot over a year but invariably within a couple or few weeks existing providers up their rates and everything settles down again. I just keep a spreadsheet and average all the interest rates of accounts. Generally there are a few names which seem to stay near the top although I did ditch Santander in the meantime as they didn't keep up pace

Savings rates seem to be getting close to the inflation rate now do we think it will flip in the medium term if rates stay high will savings account actually generate a positive return?
