I take it then, that the Cahoot account isn't visible from the Santander app? This might be of interest to me, if transfers between it and Santander accounts are instant.0

Refused me as I failed their Equifax proof of id. No alternative method of verification offered. At least it was quick and no need to complete all my bank details before waiting for an email.lcooper said:CAHOOT SIMPLE SAVER 4.9%, min £1, max £2m, FSCS shared with Santander. For UK residents 16 and over. They have eventually sent me my login details, needed to chase them for it. Alas, there is no app. The online banking looks like a budget version of Santander online banking - basic but functional. Deposits from Santander are instant, as are withdrawals to Santander. I have not tried it with other banks but would guess it's pretty much instant from/to them as well, subject to any fraud checks.
You can schedule payments for a future date but there are no SOs, or DDs.
Can also be operated by phone. No Branch service. A bit slow to open if you aren't a Choot customer yet.
Nice account for those who missed the Tandem train. Not sure why it was removed from the No Chat thread?0 -
no, it's run as a separate brand... but transfers (via FP - sort code/acct no etc) between cahoot and it's parent Santander are definitely instant.BooJewels said:I take it then, that the Cahoot account isn't visible from the Santander app? Perhaps I should chase or just deposit £1 in the hope that triggers something0 -

Well funny you should ask. First (by mistake as I intended to send to the Edge Current Account) I sent a payment from Lloyds to the Edge Saver Account, I'd picked up the wrong account number having opened both at the same time. Having read that it must be funded through the Edge CA, I transferred through the Santander app from the Saver to the CA. That's where it got stuck and would not allow any transfers out once it was in the CA.Stargunner said:
Did you try to fund the saver account from your edge current account by the transfer facility in the app or were you trying to do it as a new payee to the Account No and Sort code?Dustybee said:It maybe of interest to some thinking about opening the Santander Edge Account. I've been a customer for several years but ....
I've had my newly opened Santander Edge Account blocked from any withdrawals by Santander's Security. I was only trying to fund my newly opened Edge Saver Account. The customer service agent also didn't know that the terms and conditions say the Edge Saver can only be funded through the Edge Current Account.
I have to wait for the 'back office' to unblock, having been quizzed on whether someone was putting me under pressure to open the account or asking me to lie to the bank.
Do you think that's where it all went wrong?
As an update, I never got a message that the unblock had happened as Santander had told me would happen. I tried a transfer later in the evening an it went through as it should.0 -
I was too lazy to move my Chip savings and activated their recent wealth bonus promo, I may just stick there for 6 months now.gt94sss2 said:Chip are increasing their rate to 4.84% AER (now showing in the app and website)
The "bonus" should also be tax free if I'm correct.0 -
I moved my savings out and then back in last night after applying the bonus promo - Unfortunately only a low amount, but we will see if they can remain competitive over the next 6 months.Futuristic said:
