Just a thought as so many faced the same issues, having openend probably many accounts before without the need for such stuff. 

I put initials and surname exactly as requested... so in my case at least it wasn't that which caused the problem.

Sounds like a mystery on what criteria they choose who is subjected to "post ID" burden and who is not.  Could it be the age, gender, post code or just randomised???  

I honestly didn’t even spell my own name correctly on the application first thing this morning (also not fully awake) yet wasn’t asked for ID, and my account was fully functional mid-morning with a £10 deposit accepted.

YBS not showing EAs on moneyfacts anymore, CBS too - could either be going NLA, or increasing.

Ford Money -> 4.05% (may have already been reported as an upcoming change)

Leeds BS Limited Issue Online Access Account Issue 47 4.20%
YBS Internet Saver Plus Issue 13 -> 4%
Tesco Bank Internet Saver -> 4%
YBS Rainy Day Account -> 4.35% paid at £1, 3.70% paid at £5K

Coventry Four Access Saver appears to be NLA

According to Moneyfacts, Leeds Building Society are launching Limited Issue Online Access Account (Issue 47), paying 4.20%

Minimum opening deposit is £1,000.

According to Moneyfacts, the YBS Online Rainy Day account (issue 2) (and the branch/postal edition) will be paying 4.35%

This means YBS are applying the whole 0.50% BOE base rate increase to the above accounts.

I logged into YBS online banking and I can't see any interest rate change applied to their Loyalty Six Access E-Saver account (NLA).  It is still displaying a rate of 4.00%

I knew that would happen as I emptied my account and moved the money to Chip yesterday

I've just opened the account, having closed a previous one a few weeks ago.

The interest rate is now showing as 4.35%.
