    For any Santander current account users who may be interested . . . . . . . .

The reason I could not increase the newly implemented £5k payment limit last week when you all could was because I came to Santander from Alliance & Leicester after they acquired it about 15 years ago! I was able to increase it on Monday. Had the call today regarding my complaint which is when I found out the reason. Also got a tax free £60 credit for the inconvenience.

You should have a User ID in an email from them. That’s what you use to log in. Though you need to activate your online account before first use, and the activation key is in that same email.

Dud these emails arrive at the same time as your account details?

The Kent Reliance new rates information table is now available: https://www.kentreliance.co.uk/interest-rates
Looks like you have to go all the way back to issue 51 to get the best rate?  :(
Equally annoyingly I moved from EA 56 at 3.37% to EA 57 at 3.45%. The latter is staying at 3.45% whereas the former is going up to 3.62%! I emptied it out the other week anyway.
But now I've had an email from Kent Reliance saying:

Following the recent Bank of England Base Rate change, the interest rate on your Easy Access Account will increase to 3.62% AER* with effect from 19 May 2023.

Your rate will increase automatically – you don’t need to do anything. All other terms and conditions of your account remain the same.

Doesn't say which Issue but I've only had the one email.

My Community Bank has increased the interest rate on its Easy Access Account from an AER of 3.56% to 3.69% for balances of £20k or more.

Deposits are placed with credit unions and have full FSCS protection.

There are some restrictions on opening an account. In particular:

"You will need to become a member of one of our partner Credit Unions by matching the criteria of the Common Bond of our partner Credit Unions which are:
    • If you are employed, you will be automatically approved and matched to one of our partner Credit Unions based on the industry you work in.
    • If you are not employed (retired, student, unemployed) you can open an account if you are member of an applicable Trade Union or Association (e.g. CO-OP, National Trust).
    • Sharing a household with, and being a relative of, an existing member of the Credit Union."

    Same for me!
At least we know for certain now, and can act accordingly (i.e., for me at least, no need to move any money back!).

Strange -  the email that I received (on the 11th) merely said that there would be an increase of 0.25%, no mention of what the new rate would be; I subsequently assumed that it related to issue 56 (that I had already messaged them to close)?
