Click More bottom right in the app then Manage Payment LimitRollinghome said:
No email here, neither is inbox nor spam. Was able to raise the limit easily enough though, after being led to the option when I tried to make a payment over £5k.mebu60 said:Santander online users take note - new payment limit feature introduced today set at £5k. Apparently email was sent out a month ago which I have never received. It has been on the app for the past month I am also told. When I tried increasing my limit it just errored. Have been on the phone the past 45 minutes. They cannot increase the limit, has to be done by user. After much faffing with clearing cookies etc etc (which now means I have to sign into everything from scratch again) it still does not work. They offered to do payments >£5k over the phone but as it was past 1pm by then and I was sending to Hampshire Trust there was no point. I had done 2 x £5k earlier so at least got some there today. As if this wasn't all frustrating enough it could be up to 48 hours before they get back to me!
If you use Santander online I hope you received the notification and have been able to up your payment limit with no issues ready for all the new rates hitting us from next week.
Having done that, I've still no idea where to find the option again and can't see any instruction or info. No idea whether there are separate limits for website and app.
You can send £25k x 4 a day (£100k max) with Santander, it's one of the highest out there without "too" much problems. £25k/100k limits are still same as they have been for years, just they changed the default per transaction to 5kRG2015 said:

On either platform it is easy to change although it looks like the maximum allowed is £25k.
I guess larger payments require some other validation which may require a phone call.7 -

I just received the email... the two new accounts (Easy & 1-Yr fix), will be opened, but might take a couple of days before they appear on my list of accounts.dali21 said:
I sent them an email this morning too but I phoned after 12pm today. The lady who answered was surprised when I mentioned the withdrawn account and she confirmed it was still available for me to open which I did.janusdesign said:
interesting.. sent them an email over an hour ago to open an account at the Issue 9 3.65% rate (which was still live at that time)... I look forward to see if the account gets opened at that rate... will be annoying if new customers could get it, but existing customers who cannot open new accounts online (cos of HTB's 'unique' IT system!) miss out.TiVo_Lad said:
This has just been pulled. Issue 8 now showing at 2.25% @soulsaverKazza242 said:The Hampshire Trust Bank Online Easy Access Account (issue 9) is paying 3.65%
The minimum opening amount is £1.

Might be worth phoning them to check, perhaps.

Thanks to you both, F and RG, I did eventually spot it. And it does take you there automatically if you try to send more than the limit - which would seem to remove much of the point of having it.

The Coventry limited access should be closer to the 4% the YBS account is going to not just 3.6% which will be behind top EA accounts once the rest of rises appear.1

Ok, rather than have a lump sum in a savings account? Which is what I have at the moment...allegro120 said:
Tandem might catch up very soon, you never know. Otherwise, Chip is currently the highest paying one, any other new offers are below Chip. It's a good strategy to open a few and shift money between them when better offers come in.Locarno1 said:I'm tempted potentially to move my savings into a better savings account. I'm currently using Tandem bank which is no longer on the highest interest list of easy-access savings accounts.. Thoughts people?0 -
