Been sitting on some Atom Easy Access funds for what seems like too long. 3.2% not good enough. Jumping ship.

Thanks  - but that doesn't tell me when the debit takes place and whether a day's interest is lost. I.e with Coventry you instruct on Day 1 but they only debit your account on Day 2 and then transfer.

It's 10/11 and 11/11 respectively for the only withdrawal I ever made.

I think what the OP is asking is you submitted the instruction on 10/11 but was the money debited from your Shawbrook Account on 10/11 or 11/11?
Does anybody really remember the date they submitted an instruction half a year ago?
I compared two statements (Shawbrook vs Santander) and took the dates from them.
Debited 10/11, credited 11/11. I guess the instruction was submitted on the 9th (as per my first reply on the previous page).

I have bailed out from Zopa, liked the 95 days notice account, now not competitive enough for me.

  • Halifax increased some of their savings interest rates yesterday, 27th April 2023.

Their Reward Bonus Saver, for example, now pays up to 3% interest - T&C apply (up from 2.55% previously).

Nothing under 3.5% is competitive now and limited access ought to be around 3.75% so the once good Coventry has also fallen behind.

  • I wonder if Shawbrook have been overwhelmed by applicants on their easy access top rate ? I can’t log in now ! Saying customer and password incorrect - I’ve been using them for years , think I’ll try later.

So after all this the answer to the OP's question is that...  If you withdraw on a Friday you lose 3 days' interest, more on bank holiday weekends.

This might be the case, but don't quote me on that. I have no idea.
