Thanks  - but that doesn't tell me when the debit takes place and whether a day's interest is lost. I.e with Coventry you instruct on Day 1 but they only debit your account on Day 2 and then transfer.

It's 10/11 and 11/11 respectively for the only withdrawal I ever made.

I think what the OP is asking is you submitted the instruction on 10/11 but was the money debited from your Shawbrook Account on 10/11 or 11/11?
Does anybody really remember the date they submitted an instruction half a year ago?
I compared two statements (Shawbrook vs Santander) and took the dates from them.
Debited 10/11, credited 11/11. I guess the instruction was submitted on the 9th (as per my first reply on the previous page).

So after all this the answer to the OP's question is that...  If you withdraw on a Friday you lose 3 days' interest, more on bank holiday weekends.

This might be the case, but don't quote me on that. I have no idea.

I wonder if Shawbrook have been overwhelmed by applicants on their easy access top rate ? I can’t log in now ! Saying customer and password incorrect - I’ve been using them for years , think I’ll try later.

We have Shawbrook Easy Access Accounts issue 30 and rates have not been increased, have messaged them as under the message options is "Change My Easy Access Issue"
Hopefully this will work, expect we won't hear until next week sometime.

Seems strange they have an option to Change my easy access issue, I guess there maybe a cut off at some point where it doesn't automatically update interest rate.

Just had a reply from my message to Shawbrook and they have updated my issue to the latest issue 35, so it seems like older issues may have to request the update, so if no emails sent to existing customers about the increased rate some will not know about the later rates available, only if they request an issue update, unless emails may go out later as this issue has only just been released.
Maybe worth checking if on older issues and might need to request the issue update to gain the higher interest rate.
Perhaps anyone with an older issue than my issue 30 can confirm if rate automatically updated?

All sorted , I wanted another easy access this time monthly interest with them and managed to open one and it created a new customer number so deleting my old number .Apparently I shouldn’t of been able to open a 2nd easy access as not allowed .
Customer service very good and issue sorted , also updated my old easy access issue number.

I originally had my easy access money in Marcus when it was one of the leading rates but jumped onto Chase and moved across to there when it launched with its 1.5% rate.  As I had a Santander 123 ac I went with its easy access 2.75% and moved my money there.  Chase then went to 3% so across the money went to be followed by Santander going to 3.25% so back the money went.  Now Marcus is 3.3% so off we go with transfers.
And this is only with the three accounts I have open (I realise there are higher rate accounts before someone points that out!) but I don’t ever recall such a time as this for changing rates (unless it’s just I’m more aware)
Ditto experience for me for my easy access cash...Marcus, Santander, Chase, Santander and now back to Marcus...lol
