    Shawbrook raise their EA account

    now on website:

    Gross
    3.26% Annually
    3.21% Monthly

Mine is still showing as 3.02%
If you're on issue 33 (the latest issue) then the rate should update automatically but if you're on a previous issue then you might have to switch to issue 33 to get the higher rate if they don't apply the increase to previous issues.
I have issue 33 I guess it will show soon. I'm in the process of moving money from shawbrook to Santander now at the same rate - so think I will continue as money more accessible there. Shawbrook are slow to withdraw from.

There's no real reason to be annoyed that banks are responding to to a BoE rise by increasing their rates in the days after and most dont give notice - which is really just some more weeks of delay and with Marcus its the day before the next BoE. Coventry and YBS didnt raise by much last time and Santander not for 6 months so all were possibly due a rise. While its not a good idea to keep money at poor rates for weeks but at least allow a few days before shuffling funds as there's a fair bit of competition to be 0.01% higher than others while still being 1% below BoE.

Marcus is a Tortoise! I wonder, if they'll ever catch up.

Seems a lot of banks are bunching around 3.20-3.25%
Wonder who will break rank and jump forward!

I saw many posts about Santander's attractive rate on here a few days ago.

Please note some forumites have experienced issues (in the form of random locks/blocks) moving money out of a Santander account to other bank/Fintech accounts:

Taking many a phone calls and days to unlock/unblock.

Just something to bear in mind.

Though I have experienced blocks and account freezes from both HSBC and VM for moving money to other accounts in my name. Name any bank and someone will have had a payment held up by them.

Although judging by reports on this forum Santander do seem to block accounts payments fairly frequently they are by no means the only ones to do so and this shouldn't put you off taking advantage of better rates should they decide to offer them IMHO.
