There's no real reason to be annoyed that banks are responding to to a BoE rise by increasing their rates in the days after and most dont give notice - which is really just some more weeks of delay and with Marcus its the day before the next BoE. Coventry and YBS didnt raise by much last time and Santander not for 6 months so all were possibly due a rise. While its not a good idea to keep money at poor rates for weeks but at least allow a few days before shuffling funds as there's a fair bit of competition to be 0.01% higher than others while still being 1% below BoE.2

I saw many posts about Santander's attractive rate on here a few days ago.
Please note some forumites have experienced issues (in the form of random locks/blocks) moving money out of a Santander account to other bank/Fintech accounts:

Taking many a phone calls and days to unlock/unblock.
Just something to bear in mind.1 -

Although judging by reports on this forum Santander do seem to block accounts payments fairly frequently they are by no means the only ones to do so and this shouldn't put you off taking advantage of better rates should they decide to offer them IMHO.0
