I fully appreciate Nationwide can do whatever they like with their savings rates, but this wording really makes them look rather silly. They need four weeks to get their heads round a simple base rate increase? Pull the other one!If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Private Savings Account | Savings | Private Banking | Virgin Money UKIt gives rate based on BoE -0.25%.You would need to get the private account which costs £25/mo but with this rate it would be worth it? (https://uk.virginmoney.com/private/)
If someone has over 500k the account pays the BOE base rate. I think it is worth it if you have larger sums and want instant access whilst still getting a very competitive rate. It's quite nice "private bank" offering compared to others but unfortunately I wouldn't trust Virgin Money (aka Clydesdale) with such a large sum. Very few banks I would risk over the FSCS (Chase & HSBC for example).0 -

I guess at least you can still ladder partial access to your money by splitting it over different notice dates. (like e.g. 1/3 of your pot cash available every 32 days on 3 95 day accounts)
I think I'll stick with the 95 days as I can accept that 1/3 as long as Zopa keeps up with rates.0 -
So, I just set up 95 day Zopa pot with £1 to start the laddering process again, and gave immediate notice....so I guess I now can't add anymore money into this pot unless I cancel the notice at some point within the 95 days, add more money but then the 95 day notice restarts from that date?

EDIT: OOOPS. Had an app update pending. Now that it's installed, I can't deposit into the account with notice on. Not directly from my current account, anyway. I am now waiting for some more money to arrive into my primary account, and hope internal xfers will still work.....will report further later. Wish the deposits were instant......
EDIT 2: no internal transfers either any longer. Sigh.0
