I'm disappointed to see Nationwide still referring to a base rate change notice on their website from 2nd Feb saying they're "working out what this means for our savings members".
I fully appreciate Nationwide can do whatever they like with their savings rates, but this wording really makes them look rather silly. They need four weeks to get their heads round a simple base rate increase? Pull the other one!5 -

Zopa have a history of applying interest rate increases and responding to the competition. With that in mind, it is best not to stop the ladder system but carry on (I do a new 95 day pot every Monday), even when rate isn`t so competitive and then you are ready to benefit from any increase. The good thing is that Zopa apply the rate increase to all your pots, so that I now have a 3.47% account with maximum 7 day access.
