What a people's experience with kroo? Quite happy to use challenger banks as long as they offer an app that works.

How long do transfers in/out take?
Have a look over on the Budgeting board, there’s a Kroo thread. Not very busy. They use faster payments like all banks. What will happen if the MSE Massive hits them is anyone’s guess.
Twenty quid joining bribe with TopCashback too.
They're not that fast. I joined Kroo at about 11pm last night. Clicked on the "add money" button and proceeded to grab £10 from another current account of mine. As I write, the £10 is not showing in the Kroo account, despite they're app saying the transaction was successful. The donor bank immediately showed the £10 debited.
In addition, I've found that the app can be laggy and this was the case when applying too.
The application was made via TopCashback, and that's already showing a £20 credit.
    The app is very clunky

A large lag between entering data and it appearing on the screen.

Additionally the sign up process has fallen over three times at the password stage - so far.

Not built for this amount of traffic? (already)

Further to this - a complete fail here.

Fell over again at the 'Use fingerprint' stage.

Now can't start process again as phone number already registered.

If this is as good as Kroo gets I'll stick with Cynergy for now.

A rather new kid on the block. Attractive rate indeed but not sure if I want another hard search.
Soft search only, just like Metro, Monzo and Starling.
I opened a Monzo just last week. Hard search.
Was that without applying for any form of credit?

Yep, had to have a few attempts to upload my (Bafta-worthy) video performance but all good in the end.

Kroo have gone away to consider my application "...up to three days".

EDIT : They've considered, I'm in. £10 transferred. All good.

    Yes.

It's a weird application process. You don't get asked whether you want an overdraft but they present you with an offer. In my case, anything from £0 to £500. I chose £0.  My credit file shows not only 1 but 2 hard searches.

    Anyway, not a savings account.

Can I ask - how long did it take between submission and approval?
The app is extremely laggy at times. Just be patient and wait - it will submit - eventually.
My video looked more like I would rob them rather than deposit. :D

You can message Shawbrook online requesting change of EA account.
You need minimum £1k to get the full rate.
My £1 in Issue 29 was getting 0.05%.
