  • Charter Savings Bank Issue 28

If you look at the interest summary on their website:
     https://www.chartersavingsbank.co.uk/Help/InterestRateSummary

Shows issue 28 (any 30 and below) going up to 2.9% today.

The email from them stated 3%.

Only have a pound in there currently, so can someone with 5K+ in it confirm what the rate change actually is.

    Thanks
2.96% monthly interest which is equivalent to 3.00% annual.

You should be able to open as many as you want as you already have the funds in your account so you essentially just spread them across different accounts with Zopa and limit the accessibility.

I would be more worried, why you have 85k there as there are better ways to make that cash work a little harder for you.

£85k in fixed savings or a Smart Saver account ?
if £85k in fixed, then yes - the Zopa limit is £250k in each fixed term account, and £500k total in all accounts... so you could add a SS booster account.
if £85k is already in Smart Saver, then no you can't add new money - you have reached the limit of £85k + interest...
though I suppose you could still move money from a primary pot to a booster pot without issue (as long as you keep to the £85k limit).

Probably best to move this post to the regular saver thread:

https://www.nationwide.co.uk/savings/start-to-save/ has the detail, or is there something you're trying to find out that isn't answered there?
