  • There wasn't any intention of identity theft, in essence heinous is uncalled for. Nor is there any tribute act. Time will tell what?

Thought I saw somewhere about Charter changing rates on Monday.
    Anyone know?
I have Charter easy access issue 28 and got the email saying 3% on the 23rd.
I've just checked my Charter account for the first time in months, I also have easy access issue 28 my balance is £4.37. Never received any email notification about rates changing and I can't see anything about rate increases on my account?
I've reached the max for £85000 protection in my Coventry account and now looking for a home for my surplus savings.
Heinous identity theft on the Esk.  :D
Not sure whether to be flattered or offended by the appearance of a tribute act!  Time will tell....
Is it possible that eskbanker is a Cumbrian, whereas esksbanker is from Angus?
Other Esks are available - I can't speak for my doppelganger but am from neither of those myself!

Thats because with less than £5k you are still on 0.1%
  • Just remember that from this year Cumbria is no more and the counties revert to previous identities of Cumberland, and Westmorland (also contains N Lancashire and a  bit of West Riding).

Many years ago I was in Dublin and was at a large dinner dance where the music was from Rattle and Hum.

Fuelled by much Guinness and red wine, I would have sworn that I was witnessing Bono, the Edge et al.

Point being that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. When the alternative esk delivers at the level of the original then the tribute will be complete.

    Lighten up Eskie 2!

The smiley face on my earlier post indicates the presence of, or least an attempt at humour.  :)

  • Charter Savings Bank Issue 28

If you look at the interest summary on their website:
     https://www.chartersavingsbank.co.uk/Help/InterestRateSummary

Shows issue 28 (any 30 and below) going up to 2.9% today.

The email from them stated 3%.

Only have a pound in there currently, so can someone with 5K+ in it confirm what the rate change actually is.

    Thanks
