You could even fit the size of cage that you selected in the space that I referred to (which was 2 rows of seats).

You can, you can’t however then open the door, if the cages are stored facing the aisle you will squeeze at most two in, and that is before you consider the surrounding anchors, dividing walls and ceilings between cages.

So only dogs that fit that particular cage can travel, so think about real life use, how likely is it that the aeroplane route you want not only has the correct size cage, but also has it vacant for the required dates.

Two was all that I specified!
you could have two large cages at ground floor level, with medium and smaller cages at two levels above floor level.

The pet owner would have to pay for whatever was required, and be flexible on dates/times, you might be surprised what people would pay, for example I would be willing to pay something like £1,000 (possibly more) each way for just my dogs flight.

You claimed to be able to transport eight dogs. I think you’re failing to realise that the cages would be fixed furniture, you couldn’t just add multiple small cages on top as when it pleased you. If you took a small cage (like the one quoted), making furniture that would fit in the area would give four compartments. The resulting headspace over two bottom compartments would not be high enough or wide enough to fit more than two compartments.

    Dogs die in cargo holds.

    People die in passenger cabins.

Cargo holds on most planes are pressurised, and if animals are being carried then they are temperature controlled. Crew rest areas in some planes are under the main deck.

I'd like to see airlines have child free flights, but as I can't afford to start my own airline I just have to accept what is on offer or not fly.

Your initial post said you would be willing to pay 5 times or more that the ticket price.

My economy flights are often around £500 , that’s a bit more than £1000, or do you only want these planes kitted out on routes that you use

What would happen in the event of a diversion en route, and the country would not allow the dog to land? Some people are allergic to dogs - they'll be demanding compensation because they've come out in hives.

I have an aversion to travelling with other people's crying babies, putting up with whining, smelly, confused, stressed out dogs in a plane? No thank you.

I'm a dog lover by the way, not a dog hater. There is a place for a dog, and that's in its own home, not being carted all round the world just because you fancy a trip abroad.

Most of Europe is accessible by ferry and car. If you want to travel further, you could take your dog to New York on the QM2. I'm sure he would love it.

The pitch of an airplane seat in economy class varies from 740 mm to 810 mm (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline_seat ), therefore in the space of two rows of seats, a large and medium cage could be fitted, side by side. To accommodate 8 dogs, you would only need two levels, each comprising of one large and one medium cage on each side of the plane. With access space from the isle space.

I've already looked at that, there are a few issues, we would be taking him in winter to better weather, but New York isn't warm, so to get to somewhere like Florida from New York you have the same issues again. Also there are no dog cabins on the QM2, he would have to go in the kennel (so not much fun for him).

We did a few trips to Spain by car and ferry, but to be honest I'm getting fed up with all the driving.

We don't holiday abroad now because of our dog, he comes first! Assistance dogs travel on planes already, and not segregated either, I haven't heard many tales of compensation, have you?
