Just a question for all these heavy users of Amazon.
Do you all use the smile.amazon URL that gives a percentage of the purchase price to a charity of your choice?0 -

I knew I was a big spender on Amazon but have to admit I hadn't realised quite by how much...lindylootoo wrote: »When completing a recent order on Amazon I was disgusted to see that Amazon Prime had been added............WITHOUT MY CONSENT ... I ordered a micro SD card and a Metal Castor Slider Rollers Trolley.
Please provide the product codes (e.g. B07L7J28PC etc.) for the two items and then other posters here can see if we can replicate what you experienced.Every generation blames the one before...

No, because I use https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk which pays the same rate for Amazon purchases but also includes a multitude of other retailers (many paying at a far higher rate than Amazon's 0.5%) - including Marks and Spencer, John Lewis, Argos, Expedia, Currys, Boden.
I'm Chair of our school's Parent Teacher Association, which is a registered charity, and with only 39 "supporters" at the moment we have raised £300 since we signed up in October. We received our first payment into our bank account last month. You can shop either by going via their website or from their mobile app. I use the app for my Amazon shopping on my phone and it works perfectly - I can see all my transactions, my fundraising to date and the total raised for our charity.
We are going to really push this with the parents after the half term holiday because if 39 of us can raise £300 in 4 months then, with 400 pupils, we have the potential to raise thousands per year simply by the parents installing a free app on their phones and adding 2 clicks onto their shopping experience - opening the app and selecting the retailer. :T0 -

Errm - this thread is about automatic inclusion in something which you ****DO NOT WANT****!
I chose the free delivery service - ***NOT*** the ***NEXT DAY*** service which comes with the entitlement of Prime.
I went ahead with the order because I wanted the goods and could NOT find a way to indicate I DID ****NOT**** want or FEEL ***ENTITLED*** to Prime!
I've had the service I or anyone would expect from Amazon as a ***NON PRIME*** member!
The ***ONLY*** reason I have raised this thread is to ask if ***AUTOMATIC*** inclusion in Prime is considered ***NORMAL***.
I cannot believe how my messages are being misinterpreted! Perhaps I should ask how normal that is too?
End of thread!
the only option to tick for free delivery is with Amazon Prime trial included
If the goods are due free delivery die to order being over £20 or if supplier does not charge postage then you tick standard delivery and it automatically does not charge for delivery0 -

I think we've gotten to the bottom of the mystery!1 -

2015 was the height of me renovating my home; I live in rural mid-Wales so pretty much everything was bought online.
Looking back through the orders there's everything from a £3 timer switch to big-screen TVs. I also got carried away that Christmas and bought well over 100 DVDs/BluRays/BoxSets in just one week when Amazon had some sort of Lightning Deal/multi-buy media sale going on... (thinking now I probably still haven't watched most of them yet... oh well!)Every generation blames the one before...

I have never had a problem with Amazon Prime. It can be cancelled at anytime if you don't need it.0

I love Amazon. You can not fault the prices and the service. I subscribe to Prime and think it is excellent value for money. We have a firestick on the tv and two Echo devices. We make good use of all these.
I had reason to return an item today. I clicked on the order with the reason for return. A code was emailed to my phone. I repacked the item in the bag it came in, walked five minutes to my local post office. They scanned the code, put a label on the package. No charge to me. Within an hour, I had an email to say my credit card would be refunded within a few days.0
