agreeing to have a prime trial which you must have somehow unknowingly done.
When it came to paying for my order, I was told it had been included!!!! As I wanted the order to come through asap and despite going back a number of pages, I couldn't find any options to say I didn't want it, so I completed the order.

    Nothing unknowingly about it.

    I am a Amazon addict!

    Lite weight!

    2003 1 order
    2004 2 orders
    2005 6
    2006 15
    2007 21
    2008 18
    2009 55
    2010 80
    2011 66
    2012 118
    2013 83
    2014 95
    2015 99
    2016 107
    2018 136
    2019 16

    Total 918

God knows how much I've spent, quite a few Kindle books and MP3's in that but also big expensive items like TVs and computers.
Shame they stopped giving Nectar points, used to pay for our Christmas drink. :rotfl:

Unless there's a function I can't see there is no way I'm going to tot up my orders since I first used Amazon in 2003. My order history for the last 6 months runs to 17 pages

If you go to your orders page there is a drop down box (pre selected to last 6 months) to select the year, next to that it tells you how many orders were placed for that year without you going through every order page.

Mine looks relatively good but only because we had Prime on OHs account so ordered everything through his, now our accounts are linked as family I still get all the benefits with us both paying.
  • I really wonder if some people need their internet filtered like they do in China so they can be protected from themselves...

That function isn't on the app. Looking at my account via webpage it is as bad as I suspected - 249 orders in 2018 and 34 so far this year :D

    Nothing unknowingly about it.
She must have unknowingly clicked on it for it to be included, granted she then knowingly accepted it and went ahead and placed the order.

You can see when I got Prime. :D (And it wasn't in 2010. Or 2011 - that was an anomalous year) ;)

I'll say this just one more time.
    - At no time did I tick a box or do anything to say I wanted Amazon Prime.
    - Yes, I wanted my order as quickly as possible without paying extra charges for it AND without Amazon Prime.

    AND
    - Yes - I am well aware the consumer is able to go back to Amazon and cancel the Prime membership, but this thread is about an order on which Prime has been added automatically!
So, you're saying that Amazon has spent £10000s building a version of their website specifically for you, which unlike the version everyone else sees forces you to take out a free Prime membership?

    For, err, reasons?
