We went through in meticulous detail about the car, including thorough videos of the vehicle.

I had the choice to refused the car at the beginning however I chose it was in the best interest for myself to take it in the hope it would be resolved.

So you decided that there was a better resolution than returning the car. What is that better resolution?

This is the bit I find suspect. Rather than doing the sensible thing any normal person would do, ie, immediately reject the car, he decided to keep hold of it for a better resolution down the line. Sounds to me, and as was suggested earlier in the thread, that he got the car for a knock down price more in line with the 218i model but decided to keep hold of it thinking he could get another couple of grand knocked off. There's definitely more to this than meets the eye.

Citycity, do you still have links to the adverts and these in-depth videos?

Was it as described though ?
Yes I've seen various threads now you mention it.
Its just fraught with issues if your not aware of the pitfalls of not viewing a car before buying it.

Yes it was as described, but I did my due diligence beforehand and on the day.
  • Simply ask BMW to supply you with a 220i, as this is what you bought. Then learn the lesson.

Do you think it will be that simple? I admire your optimism.
