Good luck! I pay my mortgage by bank transfer instead of DD so I can just pay it on payday and then forget about it. It used to be mid month, which meant there was a risk the cash would have been dipped into to pay something else.
Mortgage has been paid on the second time of asking!
I think i need to do this jwil (and thank you for stopping by - i have bookmarked your diary to read too). I will call the mortgage company tomorrow and ask that the DD is cancelled and explain why.

So where do I begin?
There are 3 of us in our business and 2 of us work in it and get paid a set amount monthly (3rd currently doesn't get anything.) We have been trying to grow the business for the last year and managed to increase our turnover by 50% so we are on the right track however business has gone really quiet and it will take 3 months to recover at least. I have met with my friend/colleague this morning and it looks like we will be paid £5-600 less this month as we don't have the money to pay ourselves. So I need this diary more than ever. It is also my son's birthday next week and I need to pay for his party and cake. I was hoping that as it was half term loads of people wouldn't be able to make it - absolutely every one invited can - just my luck!
So I need about £825 by the 28th to pay for everything
I have been crunching numbers and my plan is:
£100 from the food and fun budget (may try and squeeze this to £150)
£275 from my expenses (this money has already been put aside in the company cashflow but won't claim until the 27th)
£100 from eBaying and Selling stuff - hate hate doing this but needs must (I have £8 already!)
£350 from side hustles - will be tough but only just over £10 a day.
I have done a bit of shopping today but following Teafor2's example Ihave forward borrowed out of next weeks food and fun budgets to account for the things that come under those two budgets.
The bills account is short by £15.56 to cover all DD's before the start of our financial month (21st) so i will take this out of my side hustles account so that everything balances. However the mortgage is paid!!:j
And finally to end my bad day when I made DH's pack up last night I made one for myself (to stop me buying food whilst out) with some really tempting stuff in to stop me eating mine and buying extra. DH helped me out at the end and put the stuff in the lunch bags as I was distracted by the kids, imagine my horror today when i opened my bit of tin foil to find his sandwich in there!:( My disappointment was totally out of proportion but I do love a PLAIN chicken and stuffing sandwich (I had saved some especially from Sunday lunch) and it was smothered in mayo and mustard. Oh well his sandwich is already made for tomorrow one less job to do tonight :rotfl:
Hope everyone else managed to have a good day and a lovely lunch!0 -
That is a bit of a financial blow to take a cut of £500+ just as you have your son's birthday expenses to cover. Selling stuff is a good plan. Hope you manage to cover the rest by cutting out the bacon rolls, amongst other things
Looks like you have a plan of sorts that works but maybe the savings pots need the amounts adjusting if there is not enough in the birthday savings pot to cover your sons party etc?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Have you considered keeping some supplies at your office for next time?
Instant noodles, soup, some tuna or similar?
That way, if you forget your lunch or bring the wrong thing, you've got a backup plan.Debt Totals July 2019::

I work from home SQ so there is always food (not always what I fancy though :rotfl:). I knew I would be out in meetings so had taken this with me. I called in Home B@rgains and bought a 25p packet of crisps to put me on till I got home!!h

So 3 days in and I am hoping for a NSD tomorrow. I was supposed to be meeting a friend tomorrow for a coffee but I have text and asked if she wants to come here instead and she does! :j
I will also come straight home after the school run and make my own breakfast
Also I have been let down by the woman making my son's cake so I am going to attempt to make it so thats £50 saved next week :T:T

Brilliant. Great potential for savings. Even a supermarket cake would be way less than £50 but making it yourself even better. Is it a themed cake?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. As he will be only 4 I think I can get away with making anything :rotfl: I am quite a competent baker so I can make the cake and have loads of different size tins - I just don't enjoy decorating them :rotfl: I will need to make 2 - one for his party and one for his actual birthday which is just grandparents coming for tea! I can just stick some figures on the top if needs be :rotfl: Must order a cake board this week.
I also remembered this week this week (after reading HHOD's diary) that I had contacted an old cc of DH's and they had confirmed he had PPi on it so I must try and claim for that - this month every £ will help.
I have also cleaned a Kitchen drawer out and found my first item to fleabay so I have photographed that and will put it on tomorrow night - my aim is to have 3 items ready to put up. I will offer free postage too as I have loads of large letter stamps from doing the RM surveys. Does anyone know if make-up sells? My sil bought me an expensive lip gloss for my birthday and it is totally not my colour - I was gutted!!
Happy hump day everyone - it should be my Friday work wise today but i have a meeting to go to on Friday morning! xx0
