Purps - I received my voucher.(from.JL credit card points) on Thursday, so.hopefully yours will soon.be with you.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for them. Purps.
  • Morning all :hello: it's the weekend :D we are planning on being at home but have a list of jobs that I need to do to be productive:

Get some stuff up in the loft
Sort a tip pile, probably won't take as we don't have DH car but if it's ready that's a good start
List a couple of things on fleabay
    Smalls to prepaid activities
DH and I go for a run
Try and get out In the garden, I have a couple of jobs that need doing and a general tidy up won't hurt
    Check banking
Make sure payment has arrived at just for points cc - talking of which -Foxgloves do you know when the next set of vouchers are due for the JL card, says 'February' on their website, just wondering as we'd ideally like them for a purchase we will be buying next week end.
Make a note of some calls I need to make on Monday, including 1 for an insurance refund.

Have a good day everyone. Purps.

Successful day. List done although didn't make it to loft but pile ready for tomorrow. I also painted 1 and a bit walls in the kitchen. It's a really funny shaped space but was much quicker than I thought it would be (1 of my frogs :o) so I have been putting it off for ages. It'll need some more doing but most of the areas are now taped and I can hopefully do some more tomorrow.

Also used my shampoo bar after run so hair looking much better. Do need to put a colour in though and have avoided it since using the shampoo bar as don't know how it will react. Will take the plunge tomorrow I think.

Hoping for more of the same weather tomorrow as it's so good for the soul and getting things done :D
  • I've been reading along, nothing much to report.

I've been struggling to find a time to post.

    Sunday's list:
Pack snacks to take to training
Take hot drink in thermal mug, so I don't go and buy a drink whilst children train
    Home educate children for free
    Children to prepaid training
    Write meal plan
Turn lights and appliances off when not in use
Update spending diary, still haven't done this since I last mentioned it :o

I need to look at the calendar for the next few weeks as it is half term here next week and the following week in other areas locally where we attended groups, some but not all our groups are affected in 1 or 2 of the next three weeks
Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

    One
     income, home educating family
  • Dawn sorry only just seen your comment that you need more tests. Hope they are arranged soon. Sending hugs.

    My list for today:
    More painting in the kitchen
    Things in loft
Hopefully put up 2 shelves in kitchen post painting and can then fill them :rotfl:
    Cheap porridge for breakfast
    Vacuum through and mop
    Smalls to prepaid swimming
    Make a cake/biscuits
Tidy garden some more, look at seed box and see what I can plant when - make a list

Think that's about all for now, have a good day everyone. Purps.

    • Remind OH to do his invoices
    • Look for new musician's insurance
    • Sew badge onto rucksack
    • Nip to B and M to get potting compost - too sore to carry it today!

    Hi February Fund Finders,

Morning!:coffee: W.e.e.k.e.n.d. I've been missing in action out in the real world again. I'll construct this list as I think of things:

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:

    * Check online banking.

    * Check DW's online banking.

    * Check in on eBay selling.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. Will walk.

    * Consume homemade soup. Done.

    * Clean house with Stradrops and washable cloths. Done.

Right off! Try again tomorrow. :rotfl:

    Afternoon all :)
Market early this morning as usual. Bought some lovely glazed strawberry pots (thought I deserved a treat :)) but they were much, much cheaper than the garden centre as they were secondhand. Also bought some bargain free range eggs and some bits to sell on.
    Other things:
    Walked dog
    Business paperwork
Cleaned and planted up new strawberry pots, and redid existing strawberry hanging baskets. Used plants I already had. Found a couple of vine weevil larvae  which reminded me I didn't do the nematode treatment last September so better do it when the soil warms up a bit in March!
    Had HM soup for lunch
Will make toad in the hole for dinner :)

OH has just brought in an umbrella that he has made a new handle for - the owner's kids had left it out in the rain and the previous wooden handle had broken. Apparently it is a designer brand and cost £200  to buy which is why the owner had been upset about it being broken. It now has a nice turned holly handle, but just imagine spending £200 on an umbrella :eek: :rotfl:
I will leave you with that thought!

Dawn, £200 some people have more money then sense!
Emz, hope you've found your key, it sounds like a hectic weekend!
    to all

Today's been a nicer day (the first day I've not felt under a cloud in a while :) )
It was wet here this morning but its nice here this afternoon.
I stuck to the shopping list this morning at Aldee (and went on my own which is always easier!)
Ran the dishwasher on the quick wash
Washed two loads on the quick 30 degree wash
All sockets off that can be.
Parents/sis/niece came for lunch and catch up - lasagne, garlic bread and salad- very happy kids
Checked with ^^ to see if any lifts/childcare was needed - looks like a straightforward week for a change!

Going to watch a film with dh & the kids later from our stash and its going to be a cheese/crackers and more salad kind of picnic tea tonight. & sew up a seam in ds2s school trousers once dried

Thats about it, take care all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
