    Hi February Fund Finders,

    Morning!:coffee: W.e.e.k.e.n.d. I've been missing in action out in the real world. Thanks for the starter 1LL.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Check DW's online banking. Done.

    * Check in on eBay selling. Done. Listed DW's old camera bag.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. Will walk.

    * Buy ice hockey tickets through TCB for tonight's match so we get 39p back. Print tickets at library as this is cheaper than buying ink for the printer. Done.

    * Pack a rucksack for tonight with squash and snacks. The Arena charges £2.50 for a bottle of water and I'm not paying it. Done.

    * Ask Tesco for a refund. They charged us full price for a YS item. Done. £1.25 back.

    * DW seems to have found a reliable car mechanic. <Faints>. Take car in for ball joint replacement. Done.

    * Make soup. Done. Bought a big bag of parsnips for 60p. Added the following sad veg from the freezer; the bits that get left in the bottom of the bag: lettuce, carrot (shh! don't tell DW), diced swede, mushroom. Finished off with 12 cubes of beef leftover from Sunday's roast, some curry powder and a pint of whey leftover from making goat's cheese. Had a batch for lunch and froze two more batches.

    Ziggy, I hope your results are ok next week and that you're in less pain soon. Take care lovely.

    Thanks lovely, I will be, trying to stay positive as today marks 5 years since my heart attack and since then it seems to have been one health issue after another. I am grateful though for the NHS and the extra days I have had since (even with all the illness).

    I know what you mean about time flying I can't believe that this year sees DS turning 16 and me turning the big 5 0 :eek:

    Morning all :)
    Hope you get good news and your pain sorted out soon Ziggy :(
    Welcome to new posters :)

    Didn't post yesterday because OH and I went to see DD1 and family, about one and a half hour each way, so took up all day really.
    I have a blood test this morning, and then we may be going out again, to take some items to an auction house on the other side of the county for a specialist auction. Still waiting for OH to make up his mind! Done, and took some carp to the auction, and I now have a space in the garage :D Stopped at a garden centre on the way back for lunch (lunch out is very rare for us, and we only had filled jacket potatoes) and to buy some potting compost - I have lots of pots to fill :o
    In the meantime I have:
    Cleaned up kitchen
    Put on a wash
    Watered seeds in propagator (only microgreens stuff at this stage, too early for most of what I want to grow)
    Still to do:
    Clean bathroom Still got the floor to do

    Check banks and update spreadsheet, although not much has been spent Banks done, spreadsheet still to do
    Peg washing outside once done, weather permitting Done, and almost dry, needs finishing off on airer :) In amongst the washing was an (unused, of course) dog poo bag, which had been in OH's trouser pocket. So that got pegged on the line to dry along with the rest of the machine load, much to OH's horror :rotfl:

    Some bits in the garden if it is nice later :)Done, did some tidying in front garden, cut back clematis and thyme in back garden, cut up loads of old raspberry canes for free firelighting / bbq fuel, pulled remaining hanging baskets planted with strawberries out of mini greenhouse, tidied up, watered and re-hung (they won't mind the cold, only put them in there to get them out of the way whilst tidying up back in the autumn)
    Finalise shopping list - may even visit the poundish shop in town to see if I can get any of the items cheap there (often much cheaper than the SM for the same brands / things, but hit and miss what they actually have in store) Didn't go shopping, list still a work in progress
    Dog walk later - free exercise Done
    Light stove if chilly this evening Done
    Toasted sandwiches for dinner only, as we had lunch out.
  • Morning guys - ziggy I was about to say the exact same thing as Carrie! It doesn't feel like 5 years ago. Hope you're ok x

    Also Dawn hope your results come back quick and with nothing sinister x

    I am still feeling low in mood. Thought I was ok but yesterday I wasn't in a good place. Hoping today is a brighter day.

    We go away on Friday so I need to sort out the house and pack for us. Really should get a move on but no motivation!

    today:

    * clean
    * listen to serial podcast while working
    * pack
    * check onepoll
    * all meals from stores - think I'll make a spicy tom & lentil soup. Dinner will be shepherds pie as have some veg to use up ;)
    * want to make a final sanitary towel for a friend's birthday gift - have made 2 already. Also want to make a heart purse for madam for valentines
    * am drumming up donations for my son who is running a half marathon for charity. He's a fitness fanatic so not much of a challenge for him! (anyone who wants to donate the link is on my fb page and all donations very welcome no matter how small!)
    * take pup put for a 2nd walk before picking up madam

    Ok that's me I think

    Afternoon all,

    Ziggy, I think I was still lurking under my old name on here 5yrs ago, its scary how fast the time is going. I agree the NHS is wonderful.
    Dnms, sorry to hear you're still feeling so low, hopefully your break with help.

    Still not sleeping right but more then recent nights so I'm not complaining really.
    so far today I've
    * given ds1 ys bread with his eggs / ds2 to free school breakfast club as usual
    * washed 3 loads on the quick 30 degree wash - 1 load with fleece blankets is out on the line - makes me smile too Carrie!
    * gym session done and refilled water bottle
    * moved an armchair from rental house to my garage ready for the council to collect at the end of the month
    * moved a sofa from ^^ and thats gone into my little sitting room (anyone who saw us running around our little estate pushing sofas on tiny little wheels would have that we were crazy! :D )
    * carried my existing sofa all the way round the back of the house/garden as it won't get out of the internal doors and put in the garage ready for the CS to collect of Friday (thanks for the reminder Dawn!)
    * used some big fleece blankets we already had as throws over this "new to us" sofa whilst we decide what colour/fabric we want to re-upholster (sp?) it with in the long run
    * taken a load of stuff to the tip "shop" from rental house, pots/pans/bikes/skateboards etc nothing we wanted but still of use to someone I hope
    * my mum offered to treat us to breakfast out but I'd already got bacon out of the freezer last night so we stayed in and had that with mushrooms on toast, a fraction of the price, and was a really nice catch up (and I didn't have to get changed out of my DIY clothes to have it which was a bonus! ;) )
    * my mum had picked me up a curly cord for our landline from a little shop in the market, spent £3.95 rather then replacing the phone as dh suggested!

    Still to do
    ** check banking /update spreadsheet / email back to myself as a back up done
    ** message new tenant to confirm time for key handing over on Friday - I can't wait for this to be done! done
    ** rm unaddressed survey done
    ** tea tonight is going to be chicken dinner, using the leftover mashed potatodone
    ** clean kitchen using star drops / cloths done
    ** label up ds1s new school jumpers properly
    ** straighten up the house, trying to get the kids to put away after themselves as its the usual thing every day of "mum I can't find ..........." done
    ** read up some instructions for a bit of tech, before the kids come home and start wittering in my ear! (or playing the guitar!) done and put on charge
    ** prepped a curry for tomorrow using one of the simp1ycook spice things my dad gave us. 1 down about another 14 to go!

    Right I better get on. Take care all.
    Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
