As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -

I've been so consumed with the move for the last month or so that BR has sort of took a back seat...... but now we're finally moved and it's a little over a month away I feel like we really must crack on with the forms  they're scaring me more that the thought of the BR itselfI just hope I don't make too much of a nusiance of myself next week with never ending questions and queries
Well Scarlett, I'm not a professional but if you want some support from someone who knows just ask. You're not a nuisance - we've all been there. Everyone here has been my saviour. We'll get you through it and you'll come out the other side smiling I promise.

Good morning all,
Well, the day is here - it's Form Filling Day
I'm working on our I&E right now and will post it very soon, if the very clever and knowledgable types wouldn't mind looking it over for me I'd be very grateful
I just know I'm going to have lots of questions and concerns, so I thought it probably better to keep them on this thread than take up the whole front page of the forum with them

H incapacity benefit - £310
My salary - £758 (net)
Tax Credit - £593

Council tax - £105
Gas - £45
Electric - £27
Water - £39
Contents Insurance - £6
TV Licence - £11
Petrol - £40 (we won't have a car, the one we have now is on finance and we're not paying it so they can re-posess it. This cost is for H to borrow my Dad's car at the weekends to collect and drop off his son who lives 25 miles away)
Car insurance - £20 (as above, to be added onto my Dad's insurance)
BT phone - £28
My mobile - £30
Daughter mobile - £15
Pet insurance - £5
Food / Housekeeping - £450
Clothing - £145
Holidays - £80
Hairdressing - £30
Pets - £15
Care needs son - £186
Care needs H - £147
Child costs and expenses - £131
Total - £2175
A couple of questions:
1. You will see I have listed BT, my mobile and daughter's mobile seperately. I am assuming the OR will not allow both mobiles. I read on another thread that up to £55 a month is "allowed" for phone. Would I better off making BT £55 a month, my mobile £18 a month and leaving off daughter's phone altogether?
2. Have I done the correct thing in listing the DLA payments and child benefit payments under the outgoings like I have?
We don't have any dry cleaning costs because H doesn't work and I work from home. We also don't have any dental/prescriptions/opticians costs because we are exempt from these due to our tax credits.
Many thanksYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Great thread.:D

The letters and phone calls have taken quite a dramatic increase over the last week or 2. Some of the letters are threatening "doorstep agents" which is a bit scary (for me anyway, H isn't concerned, but then he's 6'4" and I'm 5'4" at a push; we look like The Krankies) so I'm now refusing point blank to be left in the house on my own, ever since Monday when he had to go out for an hour and I was a nervous wreck the whole time he was gone
The forms are progressing, albiet quite slowly, but am going to crack on with them for another hour or 2 tomorrow morning (look out for my Penelope Pipstock style cries of "Hayulp" when I inevitably get stuck).
We've had the vol-repo. form from Northern Rock, but we're not signing it. I've typed a letter to send them instead, so will hopefully send that tomorrow.
I rang the court today to double check that we only have to physically fill in 1 form and can do 2 photo-copies, which I was told was fine, no problem (thank god for that) and I also wanted confirmation that we would definitely be exempt from the court fee - the man I spoke to, while very polite and helpful, was rather vague, I ended up telling HIM what the forms said  and he did agree that we probably would be exempt, but still, not taking any chances, we're going to take the full amount with us, just in case.
Think that's about it from me. Hope no-one minds me posting my ramblings, it's more for myself than anything else, so I can see what we've done and where we're goingI can't quite believe it's now a little over 2 weeks away until we actually Do The Deed, the last couple of months have flown by  Part of me just can't wait now for it all to be over, but another part of me is still terrified
Ramble over. You'll be pleased to know......You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Hi Scarlett,
Your thread has been a tremendous comfort to me though I of course wish you weren;t having to go through this. If I can be half as positive as you over the whole thing I'll be a lot better equipped to get through this.
The main problem I'm having (as you know, having kindly offered advice on my thread) is letting go of the house. It looks inevitable, but I am gutted. We've hung on by tooth and nail for 2 years since my husbands accident and I just feel like a bloody failure letting it go. I'm so scared I'll never be able to buy again with house prices on the up and my health on the low, and I wonder what kind of legacy I'll leave my son. How did you get your head around it all?
Crystal
