Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning
Oh yes, I can NOT wait to be able to answer the phone once we're BR and give them the happy newsYou don't think that was really naughty of H then? I didn't know whether to laugh or smack him when he told me what he'd said!

Morning Scarlett:wave:
Feeling loads better thank you. Have been on the Shelter site and unfortunatly we are not classed as overcrowded because of the age of the children.
It was slightly naughty of your husbandbut I unerstand why he did it. Don't smack him just give him a hug and tell him off like a naughty little school boy pmsl

Evening all :j
A bit like this:at the moment.
We went to see those 2 houses this afternoon and LOVED one of them, it was perfect..... well, apart from the price  But, after a bit of careful haggling we managed to get the LL down from his asking price of £685 to £620 (our absolute max. was £640, so dead chuffed with that). We've secured it and it's ours, we'll move in after the new year
It will then give us a full clear month before we go BR, so we'll have plenty of time to get everything there sorted once we move.
Absolutely delighted this afternoon. Moving/finding somewhere suitable (in budget - not easy around here) was my biggest worry really and I feel like a bit of a weight has been lifted today.

Scarlett, i'm soo impressed by your organisational skills:eek: your really on top of everything, doing all you need to do in the right order etc...
I'm so dam jealous:p
Really good news about the house. I'd have never thought of making an offer to a LL, but i bet as soon as he can he jumps your rent up, still its ok for now and gives you a place to rest your head.:TThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -

Just told son (who is 7 and has ASD) that we're moving after christmas and all he was concerned about was "can I take my playstation?" :rotfl: Once we told him yes, we're taking everything with us off he skipped, happy as larry! You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Thanks BLTN, I'm a bit of a control-freak y'see, it comes in handy sometimes
Re the house - well, it was the EA that gave me the idea, she told me it had been empty for 4 months, and obviously every month it's empty the LL is losing money, so I figured nothing ventured and all thatOh, I don't doubt he'll put it up when he can, but like you said, we're settled now for at least the next 6 months and as long as he doesn't take the mikey with any rise I can't see us wanting to leave in a hurry (it's a long term rental, the LLs live in London)
