Happy New Year Everyone
I haven't posted on this thread for a while because.... well, there hasn't really been anything to say
But I woke up this morning and my first thought was "oh my effing god, we go BR NEXT month  "
We're moving next Wednesday (8 days  and there's still SO much to do) and I'm alternating between excited at the fresh start and new house and then the odd moment when my emotions get the better of me and I think what a shame it all is that it's come to this and then the tears threaten (and sometimes win). But on the whole I'm okay, I'm feeling positive and trying really hard to look forward and not back
The last few weeks seem to have flown by at an alarming rate and I can't believe that moving day is little over a week away. The nasty phone calls and letters have increased dramatically over the last couple of weeks but I keep telling myself 'only a few more short weeks' and if the last few weeks are anything to go by, then BR day will be here before I know it.
What's bothering me most is being without the internet for 10 days after we move :rotfl: HOW will I cope without this place? It'll be fine though, it will <deep breaths>, we should be back on-line for about the 20th Jan and that gives us almost a month before BR to deal with the forms (await my 10 threads a day asking for help with those).
Right, back to the boxes for me. You really do not realise how much [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] stuff you own until it comes to packing itYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Good morning
I just wanted to post a quick note to say we're moving tomorrow into our new rented house. We actually got the keys yesterday and H went around yesterday afternoon to drop some stuff off - really can't wait to get in there now. New year, new house, new start
I may be without internet connection for up to 3 weeks  because Sky are bloody useless <weep> so am sure by the time I get back on here I'll be desperate for help with the BR forms. If all the really clever and knowledgable people (you know who you are
) could be on standby for the end of January that would be great thanks
:rotfl:
Our internet connection here could go off at literally any moment now so if I don't make it on here again this evening I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone on here for the support, help and advice I've received so farYou're all amazing :T

Hope your move goes well. You will be missed but as we know your busy we wont blame you for not poping into the Inn to buy us all a drink;) Take care .xSome of the best lessons we ever learn,we learn from our mistakes and failures.the error of the past is the success and wisdom of the future. :j0 -
Well, all the best Scarlett - as you say, new year, new house, new start. Moving is like an Attenborough documentary - you find things you thought had been lost to the world long ago.
You'll be very busy, so the time between now to going BR will fly by. Good luck.

Hi Scarlett,
I have just been reading your diary, and it is extremely helpful way of looking at bankruptcy. I think that your positive attitude to the new year is a brilliant example for everyone else experiencing fiancial difficulties.
The very best of luck with the move and I will keep checking in to see how you are doing.
Sally xHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
SallyRad this is a brilliant diary isn't it and an inspiration.
I'm afraid you will fave to remove the link in your signature unless you have permission but as far as I am aware the only 'debt' links allowed are for the debt charities of which I am certain yours is not.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Best of luck with the move.:j
Remember, if your desperate, the local library has computers you can use.The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -

Yes I agree it really is a positive diary. Well done Scarlett, wishing you all the best with your move.
I will be adding my own post BR/backdated diary soon but I'm sure it will be a depressing read, more on the lines of Charles Dickens meets Angela Ashes- I have never been good in a crisis

Hi there, I have 'nosied' at your threads from your first post in October and I just wanted to say best of luck to you with your house move and BR, your positive attitude and cheery mentality in the face of adversity are an inspiration to us more pessimistic souls! Good luck x0
