I rang up during the day and got nowhere.. I had success on the evening call - mind you I was ready to cancel at this stage... :rotfl:

I think I was speaking to people in a UK call centre... but I did speak to a few who's English was not so great.

Stick with it - I am sure you will get what you want

We've been wanting Sky+ for ages but really can't afford it. Especially now they're put the price up. And we've been loyal Sky customers for over ten years now!

It's about time they acknowledged their existing customers!

hi all,

My sky box is breaking down it's over 2 years old but i dont want to pay for a new one as they are expensive. Can anyone tell me if I cancel with sky and then try to get a new subscrption with sky a week later will they give me a new sky box? I would appreciate any advice.

TetrisRock - you could try calling them and threatening to cancel.. I felt exactly the same way as you.. and ended up getting Sky+ for free.. just keep at it..

sunshine124 - I told Sky I would cancel and resubscribe to get the new customer offers - they told me I wouldn't be eligable - I would be classed as 'an old customer reconnecting!', just try cancelling, and see if you get a sky+ box..

I don't know if this has already been posted, but Sky are giving away free Sky+ boxes now when you refer a friend to sign up.

The deadline is the 30th Nov, so you will need to act fast. So get phoning your friends and family and recommend them.

Thanks to posters here new Sky+ on it's way for free tomorrow. Just a couple of questions in case somebody knows.Can I keep the old Sky box as we have 2 dishes set up (is it mine?).Can I get multiroom without paying any extra?Also don't want phone wires trailing around the house, have always avoided this in the past, is Sky+ any different?
