Hi,
I upgraded to sky + for £49 and £10pcm on top of my full subscription, for the multiroom,
I think thats a fair deal as ive been with them 6 years, if you ask like others have said for a cancellation then barter theyre offer youll get a deal, it could have been less but after an hour on the phone to them i was losing the will to live, i done this friday and they are installing it free on monday , so thats very quick for them.
i hope this helps someone.#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
i spoke to them last night, and after 27 minutes on the phone, i walked away with a totally free brand new sky+ box with free installation and multiroom for a tenner a month. all i did was say that my lifestyles changed and im never in at the time my favourite programmes are on and can't afford the sky +
getting installed on wednesday0 -
they liked you more than me!#JusticeForGrenfell0

i keep losing weight, but it just keeps on finding me!!!!!!:D0 -
i sent a email off an they just said no,i'm trying to get a friend who has been with sky for donkey years a good offer... she wants pretty much everything but multi room. Sky+,broadband and talk. Anyone got any ideas??
In March BBC/ ITV are launching FreeSat, it should pretty much be the same as freeview except the BBC channels, ITV1, Channel4 and possibly Five will be in high definition.
All you will need is change to a FreeSat HD decoder/Pvr etc and you should be able to use your existing dish. Hopefully it should give Sky a kick up rear, if she threatens to leave Sky for FreeSat, i'm sure Sky will be a lot eager to keep her come March.
It's also expected that Sky will do something to try and spoil FreeSat's launch. It's been suggest that they drop the £10 HD fee and knock down the price of the HD box.0 -
Saw an advert in the paper today that states Sky+ box is £49, with no extra payment per month:
"If you are an existing Sky digital customer, upgrade to a Sky+ box and you will get a Sky+ box for £49 (normally £149)...
Sky+ subscription is free for Sky digital customers while you subscribe to any Sky digital package, otherwise £10 per month."Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0 -

Edit: The Sky.com site contradicts this - if you get an additional Sky+ box it costs £99 plus £10 p/month multiroom. If you replace your existing box, it's £149!Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0 -

They way they said it to me was if i wanted it for £49 i had to have multiroom as well, which is the £10pcm , which i wanted anyway, i have the broadband max, which i pay £10 pcm, i have the sky world package for telly £45pcm, so an extra £10 isnt a big issue as i can have peace (three kids fight for telly)!
They said something interesting on phone though, i had rang them back after original call to confirm i wanted the offer they had me, they had it on screen but had to confirm it with supervisor as they state it was only a point of contact offer, so it seems they can offer you what they like just make sure you accept it then otherwise it might not stand, i argued to get my deal and was close to slamming phone down.#JusticeForGrenfell0
