Hey!
Thanks to everyone for replying... I am still in the process of cancelling from Tiscali - but yesterday their customer service people (after being really nasty and unhelpful for the past week) were really nice and got my broadband back running, and up to 2.2MB (it only says up to 1MB on my contract)
Still wanting to cancel though as are STILL charging me double, saying the line rental is not free...
Anyway, just wanted to ask... what is quidco and how does it work with new customer sky sign-ups? A post in the referrals section was saying you got money back...
Thanks for all the replies and pms to this post too.
Ghost3203.
P.S.: IF ANYONE HAS A CODE WHICH EXPIRES VERY LATE THIS MONTH OR THE BEGINNING OF NEXT MONTH, PLEASE PM ME (I think it might take that long for Tiscali to cancel...). Cheers.0 -
Daily Record but it was a fairly standard ad, probably in others as well.
Is there a code or ref.
I really wanted to get it for my husband and children for christmas but can only afford it if i can get it for the £49 offer.
Many thanksKind Regards

Afraid not, just an advert with the quote I mentioned in small print. I've emailed them with details of the contradicting information so I'll let you know what they come back with. It may be I'm misinterpreting the information.Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0

i have one code left from the sky introduce a friend scheme if anybody would like it.
you would need to email me your customer number after you have called sky to arrange it and send me your postcode and first line of your address though so that i can claim £50 m&s vouchers (hoping to buy wedding cake from there next year using vouchers!!!);)0 -
Evening All,
Ok - Sky Story Update... Firstly I called Customer Services and threatened to cancel - they basically said 'fine, just give us 30 days notice' !!!.. I said I would call back... I did call back the next day - and got more of the same!.
Then finally I called yesterday and spoke to a lovely lady who took the time to ask me why I wanted to cancel - I said we no longer got the chance to watch everything we used too, and the second reason was that the sales guys wouldn't give me Sky+ for the same price as new customers, and wanted me to subscribe to MultiRoom etc etc which defeated the object.. She then went on to say she would give us Sky+ for £49, and waive the installation fee of £30... Anyway - after a bit of polite moaning by me, I eventually got Sky+ for FREE... and I subscribed to Sky talk for £5 per month.. :j :j . I will just cancel the BT package I have got - so it should be pretty cost neutral :j :j ..
I must say a very very big Thank You to DOMSKI for suggesting this - I am not hugely assertive, and would never have thought to do that myself... (it took alot for me to call the up haha).. :A :A
So, I am very pleased... and I will have Sky+ at the weekend !!..Without spending £130!!
Thanks to all - and stick with it :A

I rang last night and I got an "abroad call centre" I want to change my broadband, phone and current sky to sky plus and had tried it on the website and it said I needed to ring for pricing as I was eligible for a discount if I took the full package.
All I could get out of them was 130 quid for the UPGRADE (same as on web), but couldnt tell me a thing about broadband! I was loosing will to live after about 50 mins of not being totally understood and being read paragraphs several times from a terms and conditions screen relating to home phone. I explained I wanted to do all 3 or change nothing at this point and he tried 4 times to just sign me up for the phone ignoring what I was asking and telling me I could cancel later. Poor sod musta been trying for comission!
Dont get me wrong, I dont have a problem with people of other nationalities and im not racist in the slightest etc but it drives me mad when you have to try really really hard to be understood and have to start talking very slowly and repeat every other word! And all you get is someone reading "benefits" off a screen and cant answer relevant questions like "what is the full cost for the package of Sky +, phone and broadband monthly and what do I pay up front" or (could have just been the operator I got tho)
Getting to the point, when did you successful guys ring up, daytime? evening? were you through to someone in the UK?
Cheers0
