Some people have cars which cost 60k. Some have cars which cost 6k. they are both cars, and both of them drive from A-B, but in different ways, different styles, different features.
I don't have a 60k car! but I do have a Kitchenaid mixer which, if I'm honest, I could have got a cheaper version for less which would no doubt do the same thing, but as far as I'm concerned its pretty and I love it and nothing else could possibly match it and if I keep telling myself that I am justified with my pretty mixer :P
you cant compare cars to kettles.
cars are vastly different at different price points
kettles arent0 -
What has the kettle tipper got to do with anything?
Unless I have missed it, there is nothing on the OPs kettle that does that0 -

I've got an Alessi one - my excuse is that it's a design classic

I also have an awesome Alessi toothpick dispenser because I decided my life wouldn't be complete without it

I have a multitude of relatively expensive, frivolous things because I enjoy them.0 -
Kitchenaid are pretty good, I recently returned a multicooker under warranty and they could not replace it as is is discontinued. I knew that I wasn't entitled to a refund as it was more than 6 months old, but I did get another kitchenaid stand mixer attachment that would have cost me £50 more had I bought it.
Is there nothing else on their website that you'd like?0 -

So's this at £130 cheaper. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JJV12TE/ref=twister_B07BZYGHVC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 probably me being a tightwad.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

It's not about how much it cost.... it's about others knowing how much it costs.0 -
Apologies I didn't know it was a brand, thought it was a company which provided home items for disabled people!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Your sister has no rights with KitchenAid over what they have already offered in accordance with the terms of the manufacturer warranty. Her consumer rights are with the retailer where it was purchased. Thanks for all your replys.
My sister was the one who purchased the kettle, from an independant shop (who informed me to take the matter up direct with kitchen aid due to the warrenty).
Do you think then my sister would have more luck? I didnt think it would make any difference.
I had looked online and could see alot were sold out due to them no longer producing them. But ill check out the link above. Thankyou so much.0 -
