I dont know how I was so far out until I get my payslip thru which was sent out in the post yesterday but anyway I'm going to take it as a win. I've made the decision to pay off the mechanic I owe in full - hes a neighbour and he does me a favour by doing repairs on the car at next to cost price so I want to get back to being straight with him so I dont annoy him and it means I can call on him again to help with keeping me mobile if needs be
not yet worked out what else I'm going to tackle this month..0 -
Rent arrears? Or keep it to one side as a whoops pot?
Fantastic news! Xxx
rent and rent arrears have been paid on CC by OH as a leaving gift so I'm going to leave that as is and update the balance when it shows on the account. I've got £160 left of what is unaccounted for and I think I'm going to leave that untouched and as a bit of breathing space.
roll on tomorrow when OH finally leaves - cant wait to get it over and done with now0 -
Thinking of you. My oh moved out the day before me and the dc still living at home. Was very strange but the next day the removal lorry was back for my stuff and all of a sudden it was the start of a new life. XxAll that clutter used to be money0

Catandy, you've got this. You are incredibly strong and have faced up to so much in such a short space of time, I really believe you are going to be fine. Good news on the wage from the old job, it sounds like the new job is a much better fit. Yay you, we're all cheering you on hun x0

glad today is done and totally spent with it all - ive spent the day cleaning and reorganising and making piles of stuff to throw out and sell at the upcoming car boot and generally just trying to make the place feel like mine again. I want to get back to work tomorrow and just get my head down so I can concentrate on something. Now I'm going to have a soak in the bath and then I'm off to bed.0

Hello start of the future, both professionally and personally!
I second that! It will feel a wee bit strange at first but you will feel more and more liberated as time goes on. Trust me. xxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
I'm enjoying the peace of being on my own and being able to please myself. I'm sure I will get lonely or bored but for now I'm happy pleasing myself.
I've been thinking about renting out the spare bedroom actually - I need to decorate in there and look into the legalities and tax implications of renting it out but it would be an extra income stream and more £ coming in. Time to sit down and do some research0 -

You can earn a pretty penny without paying tax: up to £7500pa which is a hefty £625pcm. Here is what the government has to say on it.
I would say it's definitely worth thinking about!Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20
