When these houses have specials on like choirs or haunted tours, are these free too? Or do you have to pay the same as any non-member?
Thanks0 -
these are usually extra ,Nt website gives all details of charges0

I thought this a brilliant thing to do, joined Quidco, ,inked thru to National Trust site, entered all the details including direct debit bank details, and then got to 'web page unavailable' and the back button just gave me 'web page expired'.
I could waste the time doing it all again BUT I might end up paying twice - I cannot find out if the transaction has gone through. I am very disappointed with Quidco's 'contact us' system as it all seems to be roadblocks preventing me from asking them a direct question by email. Can anyone tell me how I can see if my transaction has gone through or not? If I wait too long for something in the post from National trust, and it doesn't happen, I may miss out on the offer altogether! I have fast broadband but the NT website was tediously slow.0 -
Am trying to buy my son a child membership (I have mine). He is 9. Every time it says "Please enter a title" even though I have - grrrrr!
Any ideas?0 -
I tried to do this earlier in the year for my husband's 70th birthday gift.. Set up the DD but then they emailed to say they couldn't put it all in place by the date of birthday, so I cancelled DD. In the meantime the membership pack arrived, complete with free picnic blanket. I contacted them to say I needed a prepaid label to return this and they telephoned to say:
They don't have such labels
My membership was cancelled and
I should keep whatever I had received, or hand it in to a NT property next time I visited! :j0 -
I would be very wary of this after my experience last year. Twice I tried to join to take advantage of offer. First by post. Heard nothing. Then on line with tracking number. Still nothing. I emailed & received several emails saying they had no record of my application & also phoned and got the same reply. Even though I had downloaded their free membership page which covers you apparently for about two months as it takes at least that long to get membership assuming you are successful. In the end I gave it up as a bad job. I have heard their membership department is in chaos & yet they have a huge membership so I do not know how. I will not be leaving my money to this charity as I do not think they are efficient & have heard similar tales from others.0

The problem quite often with tracking is old cookies, hitting the back browser, or timing out.
Most peoples will track online if they apply reasonably swiftly, with a decent web connection.
If in doubt clear all cookies first, and when sending each page have another window open (on a different site) hit F5 to refresh, and whilst that connection is working send the Nat Trust page.
This should almost never fail to load the next page. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
Don't think anybody can take advantage of this at the moment as when I click through from Quidco I get...Internal Application Error
Cannot perform operation -- DB is not open0 -
I'm having the same problem! Hope it works tomorrow.0
