I did this in the summer, seemed to track ok but payment was declined - maybe because I'd been a member a couple of years ago then in Scottish one last year. We find it's great for car parks and Clumber Park (save £4.50 each time) where we go most weekends for a walk.

Beware. I did this, it tracked and then I had a letter from the National Trust saying they did not have all my details and so I called them. They claimed they did not have any of my details and so I gave them over the phone.

They then charged me the full whack rather than the 25% off and declined my quidco, to add insult to injury they did not send me the free rug either.

I emailed them on the 25th October to point out the error of their ways, but they have not even responded.

So be aware that it may not end up as cheap for you as it should.

National Trust have a partner offer with Sky so you can get a Sky HD box for £199.99 and/or Sky+ box for £49 until the end of the year. I used this a couple of months ago. Took couple of follow-up phone calls to make sure I got the equipment at the right price but it worked in the end.

If it helps anyone, to get this offer your paying by direct debit, they take it all (£32) in one payment so you can easily cancell after that if you don't want the dd continuing.

You get an e-mail letter so you can use your membership immediatly then card ones, with a guide book and folding tartan travel rug in the post in approx 6 weeks. with this pack comes a letter telling you the date they'll take the dd, so you get a good 6 weeks use/to check if quidco tracks before you pay to cancell if your happy.

It tracked as 2 seperate transactions for both myself and my inlaws so don't see any problems but hope this helps the cautious types.

I'm not sugesting anyone does this by my sister in law ordered just for herself (single parent/kids to young to need membership) it all tracked fine and she got her membership cards etc...but she realised there was nowhere near her to go, so cancelled the dd after getting cards and before they took payment. They asked she return the cards but she forgot and has since lost them, that was 3 months ago, she's never heard from them since so technically could be using her cards for free all round the country!
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
  • I'm having trouble getting onto the site- I got through once but now keep getting error messages. Are we crashing it do you think?

Can I just join for a single person and then park in the car park with the family.
I dont want to do in the properties, just to be able to park in the lakes and clumber park?
Always on the hunt for a bargain

Yes that will be ok. One year only my daughter had junior membership and we were still able to park although it didn't do my nerves any good each time we approached the person checking cards and taking payment, a single adult membership will be fine. We're family membership now!!!
