Symbio Energy feedback

Yes I noticed that fewkeste. There's also a similar message on trustpilot from the poster who registered and posted those comments on both sites on the same day. Their only posts to date. Here's niks trustpilot post 'Incredible energy provider!
Incredible energy provider, gave me a wonderful price with great customer service.
Would high recommend them and was astonished to find out how much cheaper they are compared to others.'
I reported them to MSE when they first posted but thought it was worth alerting people.
One has to wonder at the quality of service that will be delivered from people who engage in this behaviour and who also clearly do not have a good grasp of basic English.0 -
It could be unrelated to symbio though. Anyone is capable of putting spam on websites0

So my switch completed on 24th April.
I enquired yesterday why I hadn't received a final bill from my previous supplier (powershop). I've always had excellent service from these guys and they promptly responded today with the following message.
'We are just waiting for confirmation of the closing readings from your new supplier and are currently exchanging a few files with them. This can take about two weeks at which point a final bill will be issued and any unused Powerpacks sent back to you!'
Thanks powershop fur your prompt reply as usual
I asked symbio today when I would receive an opening bill and which meter reading would they use. I've supplied three. Let's see how long it takes them to respond0 -

The switch process as it was recently explained to me on one of the MSE threads, is that you give your final reading to your new supplier, they pass it to the independant company for verification/validation and they then pass it on to your old supplier and also confirm the reading is validated (realistic) to your new supplier. Only then can your new and old suppliers use the readings you submitted.
Out of courtesy I gave a copy of my final readings to Powershop but I knew they couldn't do anything until they'd been passed the verified readings by the independant verification company - it allows them to get final billing and refunds ready for when they get the thumbs up.
Hope that helps.0 -
Thanks fewkeste. I guess you are in the same boat then with your switch ie powershop awaiting Yorkshire energy's opening reading0

@Tafrock incidentally I forgot to mention - yesterday I was still able to buy the May Day special pack on my Powershop account. It has allowed some simple saver lower discounted Powerpack credit to be bumped into refund territory. Since we both left on 24th April, you too may be able to buy that Powerpack if you are so inclined.0

Not since the new laws came into force yesterday it won't be. your old supplier has 10 days from the date of your closing bill with old supplier to refund your credit. Exceed that it costs them 30 quid initially. I'd thought about buying the may day special but wasn't sure if it would screw things up now I've given powershop my final reading

Wow! I didn't know that - thanks, that's excellent - I'll have a read of the link.0
