I am now in the process of leaving this company and I am going to Green whereby the rates for me are even cheaper.  I am certainly not going through all this again.
I'm watching with interest the experiences of the refugees from Symbio to green. Although I haven't suffered any great inconvenience, and certainly no financial loss from Symbio's ineptitude, I am worried about the cumulative effect of all the negative comments. Mid to late March may be a good time to review again - in the March bill I will be due a huge refund for February (I will be away for much of the month), and the March "estimate" should be more reasonable, assuming winter is over in Symbio's opinion. I will be checking in on the green. review thread to see how things are going.

  • My contract with synbio ends in May, I don't think i'll be taking another.

It gives me no pleasure in calling it a day with this company as it will cost be £25 exit fee but I cannot live my life by getting stressed out by this organisation.

I emailed Symbio to ask why they ignored my meter reading this month, despite issuing the bill 5 days after the reading was provided, when they normally use the reading in a bill generated 2 or 3 days after the reading is provided.  I got a cut & paste reply, the same as the emails you get when you submit a reading, that they send the readings to the regulator for validation.  I believe that to be a lie, since Ofgem don't dabble in monthly meter reads do they?

I'm just in the process of changing to Symbio so looks like I'm in for some interesting times! Ha!
  • hi guys, been reading the various comments re symbio and talk of moving to green energy, please note that there may be a scam here when you try to go to their site and find you are logged into another "green" supplier. Had a search round and found another supplier who has been here a while, has a good trust pilot rating and prices close to others above  for me fixed with £5 exit fee and 22.05 and 14.99  look forward to comments

I am transferring to Green Energy, Newcastle Upon Tyne and they are cheaper for me. than Symbio. The rate is 10.87 per kw and 20.00p  a day standing charge and that includes the VAT. So Symbio perhaps not so cheaper after all.
