It seems to be aimed at customers who do a good proportion of their shopping there.

I can't see what would be wrong with the offers, since each one covers possibly dozens of products and there are 4 different ones each week.

Anybody been able to try the Aldi Click and Collect service being trialled in Loughborough?  Apparently successful and being rolled out to another 15 stores.

Or to encourage people to do just that. I know, from personal experience, that it's now possible to do 90% + of your shopping in Aldi, maybe Lidl weren't finding that.

In my area, Lidl do seem to have far more stores. Despite this, I tend only to use them for certain items and haven't tried to do a full shop there but maybe I'm not typical. 🤔

where I am three local towns have both an Aldi and Lidi.  One other only has an Lidl but been announced that  Aldi want to build in that town if they can get a site. I have to use both as being a lazy cook I like the lidl brownie and triple chcoclate cookie mixes and their perfume.  Aldi where I do my main shop have nothing to compare.

I do most of my shopping in Lidl but I am damned if I will buy a smartphone and get a contract just so that I can download the app.
    Discrimination at its worst :(

Mind the scratch cards are quite good, so far this month I've had 2 x 25p, 1 x 50p & 2 x £1. These are possibly open to abuse, as my local lidl has self service so can just put each item through individually & get multiple scratch cards
Not possible. You can only gain one scratchcard in any 60 minute period, as per the T + Cs.

Some shops only accepted QR codes on smartphones during the early days of reopening through click n collect. Last year, Sainsbury’s did a Nectar double up which needed a smartphone. My friends said who work for Sainsbury’s said it was the worst thing as those who didn’t have a smartphone had to ring Nectar and spend 15 mins sorting it out.

Removing the option to do the double up in store was just stupid. Before the did that, I was after a new TV but had none in stock, year after OH wanted a fit it, again none in stock. The fact you have to specify what type of product you want (electrics, seasonal etc) is pointless when you have to pre order vouchers & what you want isn't in stock

You don't need a contract. Do you have a standard mobile phone & WiFi in your house? If so, could just get a new budget smartphone for about £50 on PAYG

And with all the various other money making apps, you can get it to practically pay for itself after a few months
