Aldi ready-to-eat prunes are just melt in the mouth. I could easily polish off more than the three a day dose I allow myself because the side effects don't bear thinking about.

Eta: I have realised that since giving up sweets I actually enjoy eating proper food, never did before! We all have to grow up at some point

Aldi ones are cheaper by far though.

I'm still tight about spending money on food even though my taste buds have awoken

Are they?   I hadn't noticed - are they with the baking stuff or with the snacking packs?

Aisle 2, opposite the bread products, near the bags of dried apricots and mangoajd just along from the cereal. Get to the biscuits and you will have travelled too far.

In my local the eggs and baking stuff is in aisle 3.

Not too sure if this warrants its own thread. Lidl have introduced an app called Lidl Plus - official launch is early next month. It’s free and get weekly offers. Mine include 15% of Milbona cheese, 25% Trattoria Alfredo frozen pizzas and garlic bread. Then you get a ‘scratchcard’ on the app to potentially win more money off your next shop.

To start with, if you spend £25 (alcohol and baby formula products don’t count) you get a £5 off coupon when first download the app.

I think my Aldi must be laid out differently.
Coffee is opposite bread products, biscuits are at the bottom (from the entrance) of aisle 2, cereal is on the end aisle, just down from coffee. I can't remember how many aisles there are.
I guess I'll just have to have a look, I know where the dried apricots are.
They are on my shopping list for next time. I'm not sure I'll like them but willing to give them a go.

    I guess I could.
But I prefer to limit contact with people, even for a short time.
I can live without ready-to-eat prunes if I can't find them myself.

There are at least two different layouts, the old and original one, and the revamp as per stores revamped or opened new in the last couple of years. They are completely different!
