Ah thanks, that explains it. Hopefully somewhere will sell reusable ones - though I've no idea whether yogurt pots are a standard size.dlusman said:

No plastic lids on any (and there must have been hundreds) of their 450g cartons today (across all types of yogurt). I know they often fall off, but this was ridiculous. Maybe there's a shortage?Stompa1 -
That's the stuff I have been buying since lockdown and its very niceRosa_Damascena said:I agree with the poster who recommended Bellarom (Lidl) Gold coffee. I actually prefer it to DE.1 -
Other supermarkets have done this for a year and a bit. It's the cream lids I miss - on the few times of the year I have fresh cream.Stompa said:What's happened to Aldi's yogurts? Thursday bought a bag of Granny Smiths from Lidl and put them into my apple bowl. Two days later, they were covered in brown patches which were soft to the touch. I threw them in the bin. Never had issues with apples before anywhere.0

I've not had any issues with apples but lately Aldi fruit has never lasted as long as the use by dates, today i had to cut bits off very over ripe flat peaches dated 31st July as just one example...od244051 said:Thursday bought a bag of Granny Smiths from Lidl and put them into my apple bowl. It seems to be the end of the 50% off short dated products in the two stores near me. Both products with use by of the same day and next day are now marked at 30% off with stickers. I hope it fails, and clearly by the stuff still sat there on the day it goes off means people aren't buying without the half price labels.

Put your apples in the fridge if you have room, they will keep better and taste nicer. Same with oranges, tangerines and grapes etc.1

Hmmm, since lockdown I've been having deliveries from both Asda & Tesco, and they both still seem to supply the plastic lids. I've not had much luck looking for reusable ones.od244051 said:Other supermarkets have done this for a year and a bit. It's the cream lids I miss - on the few times of the year I have fresh cream.

If you have supermarket fruit go off before the stated date, just pop them a photo by email. I've never had a problem getting a refund.2

In my Lidl, there hasn't been lids on the yogurt for a few weeks.0
