    * Drove 5 miles down the road to a cycle path I wanted to use. Realised I was without gloves. Sub-zero out. Removed socks. Converted to gloves. :rotfl:

  • Afternoon all. A very frugal day as I have done nothing! Took the day off work sick, went back to bed with DS doing the school run and woke up at 1.15 when he came back for lunch!

Feeling much better for it now though, so have put a wash on and am off do to the school pickup. It will be lazy tea from freezer, and I've cancelled going to a Twmpath tonight (which will save money from the bar).

Heating has been off all day, just flicked on now for the kids. I was wondering, how cold do others' houses get when you leave the heating off? Currently sitting at 13 degrees having been off since 8am which feels pretty cold, but it is an old draughty house.

    Nothing else doing today!

We also have an old, draughty house. We don't have a thermostat and only put the heating on if we're in and it's deemed cold enough. I go by the temp in our bedroom. Heating not to go on if temp is 16 or over. Usually it gets down to 12-14 if we're out all day.

  • Can someone explain swago to me? I’ve just back on to swagbucks and I’m finding it very hard to hit my daily target. U have to watch hours of videos for very few SBs and the surveys seem to only want a niche audience.

  • Am up again in the middle of the night! So I thought I'd do some jobs and post my list and hopefully I'll doze over as I've a long day at work with back to back meetings all day [eye roll]

Anyway must focus on the small things as they really do make a difference:
Calculated were due £40 'reward' from our just for points credit card :T
    Checked banking and updated sheets
Contemplating doing a money transfer to pay off our loan we had the car for. Need to ring for a settlement figure. I think even with a small fee it would be worth it.
Update shopping list - wrote a nice to have on it and then went back and crossed it off as remembered I'm on project use up :A
Portion sc chickpea curry I made last night
    ^^ for lunch
Made a note of a couple of things I need to do in 'February' in my book
    Updated my running log
Put away about 4 loads of washing. Obviously no ironing :rotfl:
A load on as we speak, will shuffle radiators later
Check what's coming in veg box
    Check s&s isa
Deleted some people I've paid through online banking to keep it tidy and so I don't pay them by mistake
    Check £co

Think that'll do. Have a great day everyone. Purps.

Morning Purps & all who follow,
Not a long list today as need to swallow last bit of large frog & prepare for a meeting tonight.
*Overnight laundry on cheap tariff just finishing its cycle & will go on heated airer.
*Bake rye sourdough mixed up yesterday.
*Am trying new recipe from the 'budget' chapter of a WW cookbook I rediscovered recently.
*Knit more of 2019 Stash Project #2
*Start next book (from my own shelves) & next audiobook from library.
*Continue to add to charity shop bag ready to drop off on Fri.
*Check bank account to make sure the sum I transferred from Savings has arrived correctly.
*Use-it-ups ongoing this week: a cut open foundation, a free sample of night cream & a box of fruit & coconut teabags I wasn't raving about.
Oh......& forgot to mention that mr f did manage to mend my lovely bike so that has avoided a repair bill.
Ok, must get on with things before I talk myself out of vanquishing that remaining portion of amphibian.
    F xx
