Thank you Pf for this weeks thread.
    to all

Todays been quite productive and working along side my dad has been lovely.
As well as the usual small things

We've measured again the sofa & chair at the rental house and it will definitely fit my space, so once we've had the referencing go through (as if we need to show house to someone else its better to show the living room space with the sofa/chairs in) I'll bring them to mine and we'll recover them. My existing sofa will then go to the charity shop instead.

We chopped back lots in the garden, it was so nice to be out in the fresh air and it was very mild. Its our garden waste collection week this week so nice to be on top of it!

A few pulls in the carpet have been glued back in place.

A table we'd put at the tenants years ago might come back as I've had an idea about making dh's desk space work better in the spare room, I've taken pictures and will discuss with him tonight. No cost involved :)

Went to aldeee with a list for us & my parents, we are splitting shopping between us much more now and it seems to be helping on a cost, time and waste eg, I've bought two whole chickens, will cook both at the same time in the oven and make stock etc cook once and we all eat for a few days

    All meals from stores

    Still need to
check banking/update spreadsheet and email it back to myself
swago - thanks for the tip Ziggy
    make families lunches for tomorrow
put the chickens on to cook
quick tidy round as I've been out all day and the house hasn't recovered from the weekend yet
hang washing on radiators to dry, although not putting the heating on yet as its so mild.

Right I've finished my :coffee: so had better get on.

    Take care all.

    Hi again,
I did all of my frugal list except one thing which I'll do tonight:
*Laundry - 2 loads drying on heated airer.
    *Baked bread
*Made kedgeree to stretch a small amount of smoked haddock to 2 hearty meals.
    *Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Updated budgets & filled in my February grocery budget tracker sheet.
    *Did 2 surveys.
*Transferred some money from savings to facilitate 2 large payments coming up later this month.
*Checked outstanding amount on our now very small loan. It will be gone this year, even without overpayments.
*Planted out some pretty primulae which were gifted to us.
*Made excellent inroads into clearing my half of the shed, including a much better store for my jam jar stash.
*Cleaned up my little heated propagator & brought it indoors to start off veggie seeds over the next couple of months.
    *Sowed chilli seeds.
*Sowed 2 free packs of flower seeds.
*Took useful recycled plastic trays/pots down to the shed - can't remember the last time I bought anything of this ilk.
*Cut open 'empty' foundation tube so as to be able to use the substantial amount left inside.
*Downstairs heating left off till 5.15pm as was busy & not feeling cold.
*Had a voucher to use by Weds, so bouģht something to put away in the presents box.
*Decluttered old kitchen noticeboard & put useful stuff such as vouchers etc, onto nice new one.
*Finish knitting sock - not yet done but should achieve it by bedtime.
    Cheers all,
    F x

I totally did! Most of the day I relaxed, didn't even get my machine out. Watched a couple of the series I'm watching - foxgloves are you watching Vikings? - then had a crazy tidy up so it looked like I'd done more than I actually did  feeling much better for it!

Morning all, I can't sleep so have given up and decided to come down for a milky coffee and make a list for today. I just didn't feel tired, lots in my head but things are settling down a bit here so not sure why I can't sleep. Ah well, maybe typing a bit here will help clear my head. (ok I know I'm waffling on a bit now!)

Todays plan (will need lots of coffee I think!)
:coffee: ds1 to have ys bread with his scrambled eggs for breakfast done
:coffee: ds2 to free school breakfast club done
:coffee: go to the gym to make the most of my membership and refill water bottle whilst there done, nearly missed it as ds1 had left something at home that he couldn't do without today  I arrived at the gym 2 minutes before the class started. I am glad I went though as I felt better for it
:coffee: join freecycle, thinking that might be a good idea for clearing some of the big items out of the rental house done
:coffee: check banking/update spreadsheet / move a dd date and email spreadsheet back to myself as a back up done
:coffee: put a load on the quick 30 degree wash doneand hang over radiators to dry later when on done ready to put the heating on once the kids are home
:coffee: put washing away thats dried tonight done
:coffee: iron the few bits that need doing and switch off before starting the last item done
:coffee: flatten some cardboard boxes that are in the garage so that they can go with the paper waste tomorrow and make space for the sofa& tv unit thats going to go in there for a while done
:coffee: move charity shop bags in to my car + 2 scooters and a ride on toy that are in the way in the garage done, will drop them off on my way past tomorrow
:coffee: make stock from the chicken carcass in the sc now
:coffee: all meals from stores, food spends in Jan were much better then they had been so I want to keep it up this month.
:coffee: make families lunches for Wednesday
:coffee: share bath water and continue use up of lotions and potions (I tidied the bathroom cupboards yesterday and have put the things that need using first right at the front of the cupboard so that the rest of the family use them - quite why there are 3 bottles of shampoo started is beyond me!)
    :coffee: rm unaddressed survey

Thats my starter. I'm going to do a couple of things on here and then try heading back to bed. Take care all.

 renewed library loans so as not to incur a late charge as I won't get it back to them today
 sorted out bookshelf, added a couple to the cs pile and found a school book that ds2 lost before xmas
 de-junked email inboxes, unsubscribed from a few things too
 a few swag$s surveys done
 a 1poll done, only £7 off payout, must remember to check these everyday again
    checked yougov for surveys

    Morning all :)
Hope you managed to get some sleep 1LL - I was up at 5 something, and was surprised to see your post! Good idea re freecycle, I have been a member for years, and it is surprising what people will find a use for. Much better than adding them to landfill. Don't forget some charity shops will take large items btw, and will collect them :)
Again, no great plans for today - I suppose I am a bit stressed by the idea of upcoming hospital appointment :(
    Some small things:
Brown banana for breakfast fruit Done
RM surveys item to post Done
A load of washing Done, will put on airer overnight
    Sow microgreens experiment Not done
Make soup for lunch (spicy pumpkin and sweet potato today) Done
Cooks steak and kidney for pie filling in SC for a future meal Done
Get something out of freezer for today's dinner (meal planning fail again :o) Last of HM pesto with pasta. This one was a rocket pesto :)
Find filler (I think I have some) and fill holes in wall left when OH took down an old stair gate yesterday. Done
Ask OH for wood filler to do the corresponding holes in the bannister post Done, (by OH, as he does 'wood' things :rotfl:)
Remind OH to contact auction house re items to be entered in upcoming sporting auction (he will be taking them there, so no use me making arrangements that might not suit him) Not done, but I found the info on the internet
Relist some items on FB marketplace Not done
List at least one thing on ebay Not done, but I notice an item has sold :)
Some housework Bathroom floor, cleaned up kitchen, pulled everything / all dry stuff out of airing cupbard and put it away :)
Ought to do a shop, but will be looking for ways to put this off, I think! Done, including monthly donation to local food bank :)

Note spends in diary, will be entered into spreadsheet in due course

More coffee needed now though :)

    Morning folks!

1LL - did you ever sleep?
Dawn - big hugs re appointment stress xx

A bit of a lazy evening yesterday. I just mooched under a blanket and read a book. OH came home with a bunch of flowers for me as a token of appreciation for sorting all the car admin :)
He was also brandishing a 10p YS baguette that he was very proud of :rotfl:

I've taken tomorrow off d/t picking up the car at midday. We are going away on Thurs so I can get the house straight too.

    Today's mission:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Gym at lunchtime if programming appears - done! that was another toughie but my coach said it was looking good :)
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • OH to do housework
    • Dig through washing bin to make sure that anything that needs washing for going away is washed
    • No alcohol
    • Try and get an early night. I'm really tired today for some reason!
    Have a good one all

1LL After posting I hope you fell into the arms of Morpheus.

Dawn look after yourself, 5am in my book is the middle of the night.

I've had a broken nights sleep, in the main due to OH - getting up to take medicine, coughing, going to the toilet, even without OH I woke a couple of times, which was unusual once asleep I rarely wake until morning.

Managed evening on yesterday's list except washing my hair as I thought I could get away with 1 more day.

Today I'm off out with my sister for a couple of hours, just us no children etc :)

    Today's list:
Wash hair and let it dry naturally
Open curtains, to make the most of the light
Close curtains before it gets dark
    PAD
    Stick to meal plan
    Home educate children for free
    Correctly delivered survey day #2
    Make bread
    Make porridge
B/D from stores (& L for children and OH) - I'm eating with my sister
When stove lit, kettles on top for free hot water
Dry washing in front of stove over night, making the most of the residual heat
Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
