    Good Morning All

Didn't manage a great deal yesterday as hospital appointment has left me exhausted and in quite a bit of discomfort. Today will

Check Bank & make PAD - Done
Read meters and upload - Done
    Stew in SC - Done
    Wait in for delivery -
    Re-arrange DS's bedroom -
    Order prescriptions -
Sort through a pile of magazines and file recipes I want to try -
    Bake -
    Enter a few comps -
    Purge a few emails -
    Swagbucks -
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer -
Checked: Lucky Bob, FPL, WinaDinner -

  • Morning everyone :D Phew am feeling human again and I have managed to bag an extra day off :j I was going in as an extra day tomorrow for a meeting that has been cancelled. Agreed I'd book an extra shift for a day when there's not so man of us ;)

That makes today feel much more luxurious! Last day off is always spent prepping things for the week ahead.

    So on to today:

    * car ins for year came out of car piggy - feels so great to have the money sitting there :money:
    * onepoll
    * have taken pup for a good long walk/run around. Will take for another this afternoon
    * tidy/clean up
    * have sorted some of madam's old games and will be dropping off at a cs without here knowledge :shhh:
    * have messaged someone about a chest of drawers on market place. If I get it it will be acting as a TV stand in the lounge and some storage - send positive thoughts for me!
    * Today I am adjusting pattern for jumpsuit and cutting out fabric. With a bit of luck I will actually finish it tomorrow. Have spent a few hours watching tutorials on sewing with velvet so now's the time!
    * will listen to free podcast while doing it
    * make a big batch of bean chilli mmmmmmm

    That's all I think!

So I have a big decision  I am considering buying a much better sewing machine than I have. It is pricey at £1300  But in terms of capabilities it won't compare to the one I have and will allow me to do much much more. It is made by a company that makes industrial machines and has employed a lot of the capabilities so you can sew through thicker/more layers etc. It would last me for years, possibly forever if looked after. I've applied for, and been accepted for, a 0% int on spending for 28 months so as not to deplete my saving. Still it's a big purchase and spending a lot of money doesn't come easy! Decisions decisions

    anyway better get on :D

Dnms, my two pennies worth would be its a lot of money but if you are still planning on ultimately become a self employed seamstress/tailor then you'd make good use of this machine being all singing all dancing.

Fingers crossed for you for the chest of drawers! (I have either 4 or 5 tv stands in the garage of the rental house to get rid of! :o )

Ziggy I hope your appointment went ok and that you are less uncomfortable today.

    Morning all :)
Hope you managed to get some sleep 1LL - I was up at 5 something, and was surprised to see your post! Good idea re freecycle, I have been a member for years, and it is surprising what people will find a use for. Much better than adding them to landfill. Don't forget some charity shops will take large items btw, and will collect them :)
Again, no great plans for today - I suppose I am a bit stressed by the idea of upcoming hospital appointment :(
Thanks Dawn I will keep my eye on freecycle but yes actually I think that the cs might be a better bet as yes they'd collect the furniture, lots of the ads on freecycle were asking for things to be delivered. Also I'd be able to get rid of them in a couple of van loads with the cs I think. I hope the appointment comes through quickly for you. ,
    Morning folks!

1LL - did you ever sleep?

    clf x
Clf, Unfortunately it was gone 5am when I finally fell asleep, the 7am alarm was not nice today!
1LL After posting I hope you fell into the arms of Morpheus.
BB eventually yes! I hope you have a lovely time with your sister. I enjoy 1-1 time with my sis too but it doesn't happen very often, its usually about 8 of us and chaos! I think I'll message her after work to see if she has a half day this week or next for a little catch up

  • Morning all :hello:

Yesterday was a loooong day, so I don't expect I'll be too late to bed tonight. A few things to achieve first though:

Several loads of washing - ongoing
Meals using leftovers/use up in fridge
    Check banking
Reconcile just for points credit card
Work from home so no commute,
    Aim for a run later
Message friend to see if she wants to meet up for an hour
Pay workman from yesterday, money form relevant pot

Hope those of you who slept badly last night have better sleep tonight and hope Ziggy and dawn are feeling ok today.

    Hi all! :hello:

Coming back to normal speed a bit this week, still busy but feel less overwhelmed.

Will catch up with everyone's news later on!

    Today's list:
    - all meals and snacks from stores
    - heating back to timed and immersion off
    - daily jobs
    - bronze list jobs (this is a new strategy, I kind of cherrypicked through the flylady threads and gave myself a list of jobs in one room/area per day. Wrote it out in fat bronze marker as it was more cheerful than biro. Markers were used for the table plan at our wedding 3 1/2 years ago... :rotfl:). Today is the main bedroom and landing.
    - update banking spreadsheet for end of Jan (bit late but nvm)
    - possibly dig out CV (might wait until tomorrow for this one, as get exam results then!)

Hope everyone has a good day :D

Oh god, input meter readings yesterday, just checked the usage tracker and nearly fell off my chair

Time to be MUCH more frugal with the heating!
