We drove to the shopping centre, DGD4 had a complete meltdown over a biscuit so we turned round and went straight back home. I feel a bit cheated now but you have to stick to your guns, don't you?
It's drizzling now so I'm glad I didn't hang the washing out.0 -
Oh dear Polly bear, it is a shame when the trip out gets ruined but you have stuck to your guns.
Raining here has been most of the morning, but all the snow has gone and it is a lot warmer
2 eby parcels packed, they both have bids on them, I'll just wait for them to finish and be paid for.
I also have just sorted out the fridge and made salad with lettuce, carrots, onions and beetroot for lunch.

That's me done with flying for the day.
The oven is now as clean as I can get it, the shelves are soaking in bicarb, vinegar and hot water, and I shall send the unused pack of proudness-in-your-oven to the charity shop - couldn't bear the thought of using corrosive chemicals, and whilst it isn't exactly eco-friendly to pass them on to someone else, at least the hospice will hopefully gain a little.
The kitchen floor has been swept and spot treated.
The floor round Rosie's food bowl has been wiped.
The bowls of hyacinths and pots of cyclamen which have already flowered and have been cluttering up the utility are now out in the garden, under the bench.
Will make my phonecalls, then get lunch and take Rosie for her walk. (She has been sitting outside in the sun, waiting patiently.) After that, I will concentrate on emails and paperwork.0 -
(((Hugs))) Pollybear. I hope it goes better next time.
I'm trying to work out how to deal with the top two shelves of the freezer. I can't see what's at the back without hoicking everything out which doesn't help the internal temperature, so I'm working my way through what we've got in there starting at the front. Today I discovered a massive chunk of unlabelled by obviously pastry is, in fact, cheese pastry, so that means cheese and onion flan later in the week with some of the grated cheddar that was also on the second shelf. Good. That makes meal planning a lot easier.
I've also baked the cakemix that the kitten decided to break into and spend a good few minutes licking her way through. I'll tell OH about that when he falls on it with glee, but I don't think he'll object. He used to feed Devil Cat from his own plate.
Can you tell I'm bored with doing the last bit of the big project?
I'll be cleaning the oven tomorrow; I did it very quickly a couple of weeks ago and it could do with a final swipe.Better is good enough.0 -
Honey Bear, I'm sure when that cake mix has been in a hot oven any stray bacteria will be killed off
I would have cooked it too.

Hi all
DH is washing up, without me nagging him. Do I go and join him or do I sit here on the sofa and let him do it? Very confused, this does not normally happen.0 -
Let him get on with it. If you go over, it might be seen as an offer to take over or that you're checking up on him/criticising
I've had *interesting* information. A certain person is fraudulently claiming CHB, etc + maintenance for a child who is three hundred miles away, safely tucked up in Halls of Residence for their degree. All part of their ongoing history of financial and other abuse.
Oh, what to do? Such a dilemma [strike]easy choice to make[/strike].
I wonder what the repercussions could be? Especially if a significant portion of said certain person's employment depends upon not having anything dodgy on a DBS check.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
forgot to report back
I made the deds, washed up, prepped crudites for the SW taster to go with the sweet potato dip, made lunch, took out rubbish.
Then left for work.

Hi all x
Thanks to Valli and Natty for the threads
Sorry I was AWOL. Between work and other stuff I've not been doing much in the way of flying.
Anyway came home tonight from work, bossed DD into hanging her dancing costumes up while I sorted suitcases and washing from comp, filled 5 black bags of rubbish, 2 x WM, 1 x TD, cleared the bathroom floor of loo roll tubes, filled the loo roll holder. This house is a riot but I'm going to try to get on top of it this week.
Just about to make us something to eat, unload the WM and stick it on the winterdyke, then I'm off to bed.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Nothing achieved today.. plaster still drying so I can’t orange my wall.. carpet now being fitted Friday morning due to the fitter having dentist .. but it gives me more opportunity to get decorating done.
I am knitting sleeves for twinkles cardy.. hopefully that will be done this week too!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
