Thanks, I did that and it looks exactly the same. Sadly I couldn’t post to their forum as I’ve now managed to get Hyundai to agree to carry out the work as a paint warranty claim. When the paint was measured on the car the roof had less than the manufacturers agreed standard. It’s been a stressful few weeks and I’d like to make sure anyone with the same issue insists on the paint being measured.

Well done, glad you got a result:beer:

Not sure if this is relevant or not but I’ve just checked the service book and when they did the first year service they’ve not stamped to say they've done the anti perforation check which they should’ve done.

You were lucky then, if they did not stamp it.

    The warranty statement also says.
"To ensure continued warranty validity, body inspections must be carried out by an authorised Hyundai Dealer at 12, 36 and 60 month intervals from the date of first registration of the vehicle. The inspections must be carried out within 30 days either side of these dates in order to maintain this warranty."

So make sure it is rechecked at 36 & 60 months.

Good result but not surprised that Arnold Clark were not much use.

Don’t get ripped off in future buying their paint protection.

I wouldn't put too much faith in 'managers car'.
I was just about to comment that AC only seem to sell ex-manager's company cars....if they are to be believed.....

In contrast to the OPs experience, I bought a brand new Audi A4 in 2004. In 2015 at 11 years old and over 100k miles, it started rusting around the roof rail mounts. Despite never having ever had the car serviced at an Audi dealer (always used independents), Audi photographed the rust, measured the paint depth (looking for any repair work which there wasn't). A week later, they had the car in for a week, lent me a brand new A6 and resprayed the whole roof free of charge.

    Top marks to Audi (Guildford).
Signature on holiday for two weeks

Home I've had a good week? That makes no sense.

But the greenhouse is great thank you. Full refund and they never collected it, so it was ultimately free. Such a great result. And they've gone out of business, so a nice bit of karma to top it off.

Anyway, I'm retiring from this forum now. Time for a new username. Byeee!
