If there isn't a hard-border what would stop Eastern European immigrants entering UK via Ireland??

But in the case of views on whether we should be in the EU or not the 25:75 ratio reflects the fact that MPs have a much greater understanding of global affairs than the average voter.
I would say it is the MPs’ lack of understanding have been laid bare.
It is a shame that politics mostly attract wrong kind of people.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

what kind of people would you have in politics then, that would give a 52:48 view on Brexit?
You couldn't do it.
I'm not saying there aren't intelligent sensible anti-EU views, there are and I respect them, but the fact is among intelligent sensible people, a significant majority are pro-EU.0 -

We can also have an "intelligence" test to determine which migrants from EU can be allowed to come UK.
Sounds like a fair deal?Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

That post wasn't meant to be taken very seriously. Next time I'll add a winking smiley face so you don't get all confused again.
Regardless, if you are going to try and pass off biased opinions as lighthearted then yes, winking smiley faces would be appropriate - unless of course it was your intent to confuse?0 -
Then make a law that only intelligent people will be allowed to vote from now on. We can ask remainers what kind of "intelligence" test they prefer to determine this.

No Everyone's vote should count. But the way representative democracy should work is that the people whose job it is to understand how things work make the decisions. Brexit has broken that system by forcing parliament to do something that no parliamentary majority would ever think is a good idea! It's unprecedented.0 -

Perhaps following the next GE they'll be a shake up in the HoC. Labour's commitment was to leave, not be wishywashy...... and play games.0 -

They aren't playing games. Labour said in their manifesto what they wanted from brexit and they are trying to achieve that.
It doesn't fit the brexit masterminds idea of triggering brexit to take control of the british population, which so many leave voters seem to be happy about marching into. Then make a law that only intelligent people will be allowed to vote from now on. We had that up until 1918 and it doesn't work. You just have to accept that with votes comes responsibilities and if you want to believe obvious lies that are aimed at peoples prejudices, then you'll be blamed and become a laughing stock. You might have thought you were doing the right thing, or maybe you were just doing the selfish thing.
Maybe there should be mandatory voting, but others should be able to sue you for consequential damages. I certainly think politicians should be financially accountable for their actions. Rees Mogg and Bojo would be talking a completely different tune about WTO if they were exposing themselves to litigation. They'd probably go silent while they learned how to tell the truth.0 -

But their aims are compatible with the Brexit deal on offer aren't they?
The current deal is only an exit deal, nothing has been decided on the future relationship.0
