So fed up with FTB!!!

So they had a second viewing three weeks ago, since then keep asking agent questions like "which bank is OUR mortgage with"!!!
Their English is poor and they had booked a survey with a local surveyor, now they have cancelled that but tell the agent they still want to buy the house!
Meanwhile two houses we wanted to put offers on are SSTC.
How do we cope?

I have a policy of not selling to FTBs, unless there are no other offers for just this reason.

I don't have time to be some snowflakes mummy.

I would put it straight back on the market and try for an investor.

I'm just waiting for someone to post "FTBs should not be allowed to buy houses!"
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

In all businesses, there are some 'customers' who are simply more trouble than they're worth.

I'm always wary of selling to FTBs, but it does sound like it's been complicated further by their lack of understanding of the process and the language barrier.

Your EA should know enough about property generally to know how to fob them off or tell them to mind their own business in a polite enough manner :) Or tell them to ask all questions via their solicitor/yours. They'll hopefully be able to tell them what's relevant and what's not.

This sale is not going to complete. They don't know what they are doing. They seem to think that the agent arranges the mortgage for them. There is a possibility that they won't get a mortgage/don't have the deposit.

I think it is time to put the property back on the market.

Just to say I agree with others.

I would definitely be remarketing in this instance. At least until they had their survey done and/or their mortgage agreed.
