Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all :hello: DD is off school sick today as shes hardly had any sleep due to being unable to breathe with a terrible cold, she's also got a sore throat so we're off to Asda to get some calpol (much easier than trying to get a doctors appointment  ) and some decongestants and she'll probably be fine by tomorrow. She's already bucking up a bit due to having eaten and drinking plenty :mad::o She is exhausted and she looks like she could fall asleep any second but otherwise she's bubbly  KIDS!

Right, off to make sure she puts a vest on

  • Kettle's on.. any takers?
G&B, I had trouble earlier too; same thing, couldn't refresh.
embb, I suppose I should be grateful they eat them under the bed and not on it.
Not a hope in Hell's chance of getting washing dry today, the weather is just hanging there, shame really 'cos there's stacks of it to do. A pair of black jeans first time of washing have bled all over my coffee coloured bath towels, I've tried a second wash with some washing soda which hasn't shifted it. Grrr..

  • Morning Everyone

It my last week day off now, I'm starting to dread going back to work monday now. I've got to try my work stuff on today and make sure it fits and check the waistbands don't cut into my wound. Will have to get some dressings the weekend if they do.

Anyway, My plan for this morning is to dust the bedrooms (3) and clean windows then vac all the house and clean the laminate floors. I'm going to leave the bathroom till tomorrow.

This afternoon I'm meeting a friend for lunch, I can't wait. I lost contact with her a couple of years ago and it was by chance her mum was in the bed opposite me when I was in hospital, I didn't know who she (her mum) was until my friend came to visit her. So we going to lunch today to catch up.

Good Luck with your interview Rach
GNB Hope you feel better soon

    See you all later

  • charlie is supposed to be going to nursery in his PJs today for children in need. I have said no to that one as it is far too cold to be in PJs all day, and i can't guarantee they would not let him play outside in them, and you can guarantee he would fall and put the knee through.

I sort of have the same problem as DD's school is doing this today. It's actually the same school I work at but am off at the moment. If I hadn't been I would have pointed out how cold it is and that pj's aren't really suitable but hardly any of the other staff have children and this sort of thng doesn't seem to occur to them!! (I'm always the one in staff meetings going "Yeah, but..." and pointing out the parents' point of view - it doesn't make me very popular!!

DD is still wearing knickers, vest etc and I've given her clothes to go over the top for playtime with the instruction "If Mr Teacher says you have to go straight out, tell him I said you have to wear them". (He's a bit intimidated by parents and especially parents who are also teachers and who were his mentor when he was an NQT! ;)

Food break! I'm starving. I've done the kids rooms ....what a task littleys room was - it was beautiful all week till she had a friend over yesterday and boom! stuff everywhere, took me 15 mins just to sort through the stuff on her bed! Anyway, they're done now, sorted all her wardrobe out too and hung up her clothes in outfits and got a bin bag of old stuff to get rid of taboot!

The little rummun keeps sneaking strappy summer tops into her wardrobe that were packed away for next year (she uses them for dancing about and practising being a model   :D ) so I've took all those away too she'll find them again though. Got her clothes ready for her day out tomorrow, nana and her aunty are taking her and her baby cousin to Winter Wonderland in Keilder Forest so thick jeans/boots/vest/jumper are called for.

I said I'd buy her a hat/scarf and gloves set from Woolworths but they're in the big red book, anyone know if you can buy them instore too? I did actually forget till she reminded me but I've only got £10 to last me till Monday and they are £10, I'll feel awful if she can't have new ones I hardly buy her anything as nana/granda buy all her clothes :(

Just the bathroom *groan* to do now then the house is in tip-top condition yay! :j

    Morning all

Good to know your staying focused and positive Michelle - I will learn from your example:D .

Well back from my driving lesson which was good. I parallel parked 3 times:D and ended up in the right place each time so pleased with that.

DD1 has gone off to school in PJs today but with tights under, vest and her school cardi (which she wanted to wear anyway). DD2 decided she wanted to wear her pjs to nursery (they were not taking part in this) so paid double at school and explained to staff at nursery (who thought it was funny), so she is dressed in a similar manner, but she is happy;).

Managed to put a wash on before we set off for school so must stick that on the airer. No point hanging it out as freezing and no wind! Littles are having sleep over at Nannies tomorrow:j so will do their bedding over the weekend, otherwise it will look like a laundry in here:eek: .

I am now starving, probably 'cos I missed breakfast again so off to hunt in the cupboards, put kettle on and crack on with the jobs for half an hour before I need to collect littley.
